WebCT 4.1 Restore Process for Backup
File
Input: WebCT 4.1 Backup file
1. Login to WebCT 4.1 as an Instructor.
2. Go into the course which is listed in the Courses section.

3. Go to Control Panel in of the course and click Manage Course button to

import the provided WebCT backup.

 4. Click on Upload backup under Backup Course, browse and select the WebCT
backup file from your computer.

 5. Click on Upload.

 6. Now the package is uploaded to the server. Select the package and click Keep
Users under Restore options at the right side. Click Ok for the warning.

 7. Click Continue to view the course contents.

Input: WebCT 4.1 Export file
Note: If we are using this method, few items in the original course Homepage like
Banner, Upper text block, Lower text block will not migrate to the new course.
1. Login to WebCT 4.1 as an Instructor.
2. Go into the course which is listed in the Courses section.

3. Go to Control Panel in of the course and click Manage Course button to

import the provided WebCT backup.

 4. Click on Import Content.

 5. Select Import a Course and click on Browse.

 6. Click again on Browse and select the WebCT export package from your
computer. Then click on Upload to upload the package to the My-Files of WebCT
server.

 7. Now select the uploaded package in My-Files and click Add Selected.

 8. Click on Import.

 9. Click Done to view the course contents.
