Departmental The faculty of Mechatronics Engineering department guided the students to present the
Achievements papers in conference & seminars, many of the students won prizes.
One of the students project (AUTONOMOUS ALL TERRAIN ROBOT) was awarded
Rs. 1,00,000 by the DRDO in the academic year 2010-2011.
Students were participated in SAE Baja competition by designing a vehicle which was
admitted for the competition conducted by SAE India at NATRIP, Pithambur in the
month of January 2011
Student’s project titled “Design and fabrication of automatic milk collection
machine employed in milk collection centre” was sponsored by TNCST Chennai
and received Rs. 5,000/- for the same patent rights were applied by students for the
same project.
Project work of year 2003-2001 Intelligent Traffic system received appreciation and
financial support of Rs.5000 from TNCST Chennai.
Faculty published papers in National and International journals.
Department purchased Automation Studio software during the month of August 2010 to
enhance Fluid power lab facilities.

Students of Final year Mechatronics Engineering course received 1 place and cash
price Rs.30,000 in Design ACE 2010 which has been arranged and conducted by Barry
