The compiled book of federal budget tells about the current and development
expenditures of the ministries of Pakistan like education ministry, defense ministry etc
and appropriations charged upon the federal consolidated fund for the ministries.

Pakistan Economic Survey:


This compilation gives the overview of the economy of agriculture, manufacturing, fiscal
development, inflation, capital markets, balance of payments, social sector which
includes education, health, population employment and poverty. It also includes the
economic survey of the transport, communication, energy and environment.

Pakistan Statistical Year Book:


This book includes the statistics of the agriculture and manufacturing (area, production,
consumption, irrigation etc), balance of payments (foreign exchange reserves, gold etc),
climate (weathers, temperature, rainfall etc), co-operative (societies), development and
planning (GDP, GNP, MTDF etc), education, energy and mining (electricity, minerals),
foreign economic assistance, foreign trade, health and insurance, labor, prices,
population, transport and social culture.

State Bank of Pakistan Annual Report:


The annual report of state bank includes economic growth, savings and investments
(agriculture, industrial and service sector), money and banking, balance of payments
(foreign exchange reserves, exchange rates, foreign trade etc), prices, social sector
(health, education, poverty, employment etc).

Labor Force Survey – several years:


The survey is done on the basis of the marital status, sex ratio, literacy, level of education
and employed labor force. Sampling methodology is also highlighted.

Pakistan Social and Living Standard Measurement Survey (PSLM):


This survey includes that at what standard our social and living standards are up to mark.
This is evaluated by education sector, health sector, housing water supply and sanitation,
household perceptions about the economy and their satisfaction levels.

Pakistan Integrated Household Survey (PIHS):


It includes the poverty and inequality trends and the analysis of socio-economic groups
and the policy implications in respective to the poverty and other factors. There are many
tables and figures shown in this survey related to the all aspects of poverty.

Pakistan Population Census – Federal, Provincial & District Reports


This census includes the size and growth rates of population, fertility, age distribution,
mortality, nuptiality and migration patterns. It also includes the methodological issues on
data collections.

Agriculture Census – Main/Provincial Reports:

This compilation includes the custom import tariff, exemptions and concessions on

It includes the list of the identified projects in industrial sector, agriculture, livestock,

It tells about the geographical conditions (climate and general soil conditions), man-
power (traditional crafts, population), Natural resources (crops, fruits, vegetables, woods,

Agricultural Statistics of Pakistan 2006-2007:


The book provides the data about the major crops like wheat, cotton, rice, fruits,

It first highlights the methodology of sampling on basis of the villages, tehsils etc and

The compilation is mainly based on the data provided by government organizations,
fertilizer industry, marketing companies and fertilizer importers. It includes
comprehensive document on fertilizer use covering details regarding domestic
production, imports, total supply, domestic and price trends, and the demand of the
fertilizers for next five years.

Punjab Development Statistics – various years:


This publication contains latest data on almost all socio-economic aspects of the province
with their break-up by administrative units from divisions, districts etc. It contains

information mostly for the province of Punjab and at national level. It also contains a
‘Statistical Abstract’.

The State of Pakistan’s Economy:


This compilation includes the economic outlook, real sector, prices, money banking,
fiscal development, and external sectors. In these domains different sectors, CPI, WPI,
monetary policy, expenditures, exchange reserves and rates are discussed.

Pakistan Energy Year Book:


This book gives a concise view of the energy situation in the country and provides the
basic data to facilitate better awareness for further planning, investment and policy
formation.

Pakistan Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) Report:


This report highlights the agreements made at United Nations conferences and represent
commitments by all countries to reduce poverty and hunger, and to tackle ill-health,
gender inequality, lack of education, lack of access to clean water and environmental
degradation.

Ten Years Review of Human Development in South Asia 2007:
