From our audience research we can see that 65% of the people we asked we’re in the age cohort of
16-25 and that there were an equal number of both males and females questioned. More people
preferred comedy films than other genres, with Action and Adventure close behind; this will
influence what content we decide to include in our film and how it will succeed in targeting a specific
audience. 13 out of 20 people said that they liked films with a moral or lesson and the Cowley Road
was chosen as the most exciting street so we have chosen to do our filming there and hope to
incorporate something into the film that will help expand the audience’s morals.

Only 5 people said they didn’t like point of view films so we will film ours in this style in order to
enable the audience to emphasize with the characters and have them feel as if they are experiencing
the events unfold around them. 14 people said that they preferred films to revolve around a specific
theme so we decided to try and explore a variety of themes but have a main theme that will always
underlie all the others; this could be love as it was a main preference of the people we questioned.
The majority of people also said that they enjoyed plot twists and films that were fast paced and
eventful, factors that people also felt made a good film often included things like bits that could
influence their emotions, engage them with the events onscreen and make them think of how the
film relates to their own lives which is what we will try to do.
