showboards
Shows the component assignment information and status of the components. Like I/O
Boards and S/B BOARDS
Above command show you the detail of each board.
usage:
showboards [-d domain_indicator] [-v]

showbus
Displays the bus configuration of expanders in active domains.
usage:
showbus [-v]
showcomponent
Displays domain, platform, or ASR blacklist file status for a component.
usage:
showcomponent [-a | -d domain_indicator] [-v] [location…]
showdate
Displays the date and time for a system controller or a domain.
usage:
showdate [-d domain_indicator] [-u] [-v]
showdevices
Displays system board devices and resource usage information.
showdevices displays configured physical devices on system boards and the resources
made available by these devices. Usage information is provided by applications and
subsystems that are actively managing system resources.
usage:
showdevices [-v] [-p bydevice|byboard|query|force] location...
showenvironment
Displays the environmental data on the platform (temperature, voltages, power supply
failures, etc)
Displays environmental data including: Location, Device, Sensor, Value, Unit, Age,
Status. For fan trays, Power, Speed, and Fan Number are displayed. For bulk power, the
Power, Value, Unit, and Status are shown.
usage:
showenvironment [-d domain_indicator[,domain_indicator]...]... [-p temps|volts|
currents|fans|powers[,temps|volts|currents|fans|powers]...]... [-v]
showfailover
Displays SC failover status. If you want to see the detailed user -v option with command,
it will show you the status of both of the SC
usage:
showfailover [-r] [-v]
showkeyswitch
Displays the position of the domain virtual keyswitch. either it is ON, OFF or STANDBY

showlogs
Displays message log files for domains or platforms depending on usage.
Showlogs –h
showobpparams
Displays certain domain OBP parameters set using the setobpparams command.

showplatform
Displays the board ACL for domains, domain ethernet addresses, domain tag
information, COD information (SMS 1.4.1 and above),
as well as domain state.
Usage:
showplatform [-d domain_indicator] -v

addboard
Assigns, connects, and configures an available component (System Board or IO Board) to
a domain.
before adding a board to a domain we have to cross check that board are not assign to any
domain.

usage:

addboard -d domain_indicator [-c function] [-r retry_count [-t timeout] [-q] [-f] [-y|-n]
location

deleteboard

Detaches and unassigns a component (System Board or IO Board) from a domain only if
the board is in the assigned or
connected/configured state.
beofre deleting the board check the status of board

usage:
deleteboard [-c function] [-r retry_count [-t timeout]] [-q] [-f] [-y|-n] location

disablecomponent
Adds a specified component(s) to the platform or domain blacklist file. This prevents the
component(s) from being included
in the domain configuration in the next HPOST operation, thus removing the components
from inclusion in the booted domain.
usage:

disablecomponent [-d domain_indicator] location

enablecomponent
Removes a specified component from the domain, platform, or Automatic System
Recovery (ASR) blacklist file. The component is
now available to the domain for booting and thus will be tested by HPOST during a
setkeyswitch or reboot operation.
usage:
enablecomponent [-a | -d domain_indicator] location

moveboard

Attempts to remove a component that may be currently configured and active in one
domain and reassign and activate the component
into a different domain.
Usage:
moveboard -d domain_indicator [-c function] [-r retry_count [-t timeout]]
[-q] [-f] [-y|-n] location

poweroff
Powers off a specified component.
usage:
poweroff [-q] [-y|-n] [location]
Need to be very sure that which component you are going to poweroff. From domain
shell you can run the poweroff all
poweron
Powers on a specified component.
Need to be very sure that which component you are going to poweron or from domain
shell you can run the poweron all

usage:
poweron [-q] [-y|-n] [location]

reset
Sends reset to all ports (CPU or I/O) of a specified domain.
usage:
reset -d domain_indicator
setkeyswitch ON
boots a properly configured domain when its keyswitch control is moved from the off or
standby position to one of the on positions. This takes approximately 20 minutes.
Changes the position of the domain virtual keyswitch, to power off or on the components
and prepare for booting or domain
shutdown.
usage:
setkeyswitch -d domain_indicator [-q] [-y|-n] position
resetsc
Sends a reset signal to the other system controller. If the other system controller is not
present, the resetsc command exits
with an error. When an SC failover occurs, the new MAIN SC automatically sends a
resetsc to the former MAIN.
usage:
resetsc [-q] [-y|-n]
setfailover
Modifies the state of the system controller failover mechanism to enable, disable, or force
system controller failover.
usage:
setfailover on|off|force

COMMAND FOR NOT USED NORMALY

smsinstall
Installs the SMS software onto an SC.
smsbackup
The system controller SMS backup utility for the Sun Fire[TM] 12K/15K/E20K/E25K
configuration.
smsrestore
The system controller SMS restoration utility for the Sun Fire[TM]
12K/15K/E20K/E25K configuration.
smsupgrade
Upgrades the SMS software environment on an SC.
smsconfig
The system controller SMS configuration utility for the Sun Fire[TM]
12K/15K/E20K/E25K system. Used to configure the Management
Network, platform security, as well as user group privileges.
smsconnectsc
Creates a TIP session to the remote SC. The command will fail to connect if an external
serial console connection is already established.
This command is user when you or on one SC and want to go to secondary SC console.
Do not use this command in narmaly you can user this command when you do not have
any other option to go to SC console.
flashupdate
