Project Scheduling Services

Anyone who has ever been engaged or participated in the development, design, and construction of a
project, understands the complexity of birthing a new facility into a three dimensional physical reality.
This process engages Owners, Developers, Users, Architects, Structural Engineers, MEP / Fire Protection
Consultants, Civil Engineers, Soils Engineers, Governmental Permitting processes, General Contractors,
Sub-contractors, and did I say “Multiple Personalities?” This only identifies a portion of the many players
required to bring a project from a concept to a physical reality in the best case completion scenario, an
occupied project for the intended use. This is a journey in time that flows through multiple phases that
have a lot of twists and turns along the way.

Wouldn’t it be nice to have a “window into the future” that you could see how your project unfolds
through time? You could glean important information about the project that may help you avoid detours
and possibly going over a cliff. Or perhaps you could make a profit for a change that you would gladly
report to the IRS as opposed to explaining a tax loss?

This is what I do best, providing the project team with a vision moving forward applying the team’s
knowledge of the scope of work during interactive scheduling meetings with key team players that are
able to make schedule commitments to accomplish the following:

1. An “Overall Project Schedule” (OPS) that is intended to define the process from the very
beginning and create the Overall Project Steps how to arrive at a completion date on or ahead of
the desired schedule.
2. As the project moves forward and the knowledge base increases, this information can be captured
on a Bi-weekly basis at project schedule coordination meetings to evaluate progress, identify
barriers to progress, identify potential opportunities to improve the schedule and to capture
progress to the benefit of the project team. This effort provides team members with a forum to
participate in a positive outcome of the project. Should the schedule slip or improve, everyone
can engage in the process to mitigate the schedule in real time to the benefit of all team players.
The Bi-weekly / or weekly meeting is the time and the place to develop the strategies to
overcome obstacles to schedule progress. Without this effort, time will slip through the cracks
and add up to real costs and lost time. This process enhances the team’s ability to arrive at the
best case strategies and solutions to for an on time delivery within budget.

Since graduating from College in 1971 with a Bachelor of Architecture degree, I have been engaged in
project / construction management services specializing in the area of project scheduling. This has been
the source of my focus over the years providing owners, architects, and general contractors with a
“window” into the future helping all parties better understand the mountain each has to climb to arrive at
their respective destination, a successfully executed project that actually returns a profit for all parties.

Current scheduling software available in the market fell short of our expectations for an interactive
scheduling experience motivating the development of a better solution called CASCAD-e Scheduling
Software. CASCAD-e culminates efforts to find an interactive solution which I now use in my
scheduling practice. There simply is no other software that can match CASCAD-e for ease of use and
responsiveness within the context of the dynamics of schedule meetings. I have a 1/3 ownership in
CASCAD-e and have participated fully in its development.

I look forward to playing a contributing role in your project’s success story.
