PIPING STRESS ENGINEER

My overall professional experience is more than 6 year & working in Piping Stress Analysis for 5.5
years. My first design job has proven to be a real successful experience in my professional career.
The job description is as follows:

• Identification of Critical Lines under defined rules for Static and Rotary Equipments.
• Piping flexibility analysis specification preparation.
• Modeling of critical line circuits in Caesar-II Software.
• Setting up the load cases to perform static analysis and also wind and seismic analysis If required.
• Identifying Supports, Restraints or Special pipe supports for Critical lines.
• Using of Hanger Supports where required and preparing their data sheets.
• Calculations for the Nozzle Displacements of different equipments.
• Preparation of Nozzle evaluation sheets for Static and Rotary equipments.
• Loading calculations of pipes on structural and grounded supports.
• Preparation of the stress isometrics manually and also with the software.
• Coordination with the civil and mechanical engineers regarding loading information.
• Recommendations to the piping designers to enhance the piping flexibility.

PROJECTS

Gassi Touil Project Algeria

Client: JGC (Japan Gasoline Corporation)
Currently I am leading Stress Analysis of Gassi Touil Project Algeria. The job consists of about 350
calculations including multi tasks like Civil Loading, AFC’s, Towers, Heat Exchangers, Compressors,
Pumps and various equipment nozzle evaluations & Stress Analysis. Scheduling, Planning, Monitoring
& Managing the activities of Stress Analysis for this EPC job along with meeting the client’s
expectations fulfilling the quality & schedule with minimum cost impact.
Area of common pipe rack was also handed over to me, for closing 60% client’s model review
comments. So this was a blissful opportunity to work with PDS operators & then Final Isometric
issuance was also performed by me.

Bonny River Terminal Expansion Nigeria

Client: JGC (Japan Gasoline Corporation)
Worked on different areas of the project on miscellaneous type of equipments including pumps, heat
exchangers and vessels. This was my debut project.

Fertil Urea Debottlenecking (Ruwaiz Fertilizers Limited)

Client: DEL (Descon Engineering Limited)
Stress Lead engineer on the project handling the CO2 Recovery, Granulation & Utility Areas. About 92
calculations were done on the project for S&T Heat Exchangers, Plate & Frame Heat Exchangers,
Centrifugal Pumps, Sump pumps, Towers, Vessels, Air Fin Coolers & very challenging calculations
related to Turbines.
Bosicor CDU Revamp Project
Client: DEL (Descon Engineering Limited)
Stress Lead engineer on the project to enhance the capacity of 14500BPD existing plant to 30,000BPD.
About 40 calculations were done for S&T Heat Exchangers, Pumps, Crude Oil Heater, vessels and
Columns.

Oxychem Hydrogen Peroxide

Client: DEL (Descon Engineering Limited)
Stress Lead engineer on the project of first Hydrogen Peroxide plant in Pakistan. About 40 calculations
were done on this project.

ICI Soda Ash Expansion Project

Client: ICI Pakistan Chemicals Industries
Stress Analysis of the project to enhance the capacity of 235KTPA existing plant to 285KTPA.
Arranged special supports and route for highly critical lines on existing rack between existing lines.

Sulfur Recovery Unit

Client: PDIL (Presson Descon International Limited)
Stress Lead Engineer on the project of Oil & Gas Development Corporation Pakistan. 50 calculations
are involved on the project including Jacketed Piping.
Wellhead Miano-12
Client: OMV Pakistan
Project manager on the wellhead project, involves scope of lay outing, design information of civil
foundations as well as stress analysis of above & under ground piping.

Pak American Fertilizers Limited

Client: Pak American Fertilizers Limited
Stress Lead Engineer on the project of Fertilizer capacity enhancement & Benfeild Recovery Unit.
