Reason for GAP [Aug 08 – Nov 09]:

Because of my father’s medical emergency I have a gap in my career.

My father is suffering from SLE [Systemic lupus erythematosus].
When his treatment was going on , I was at Infosys Bangalore and I applied for a transfer to
Pune submitting all medical reports of my father.
But somehow I didn’t got the transfer.
In August 2009 my father got a Brain Stroke and I left Infosys came to hometown for family
support.

During this tenure I handled my dad’s business of Stocks and also did part time [Lecture Based]
job of Administrator and computer faculty at Kendriya Vidyalaya School.

Now my dad’s Health is ok and so I joined TCS as a Business Associate to refresh my skills.

1. Intel Portal (Infosys):

Role: Support
Tools: Deployment tools of Infosys , MS Office 2007.
Description: The project is about making a portal for Intel where its employees can
register and Login to use various facilities.
Roles Included:
• Deployment at Client side.
• Regular Back up of data.
• Taking Logs whenever needed by development team.
• Making Presentations and gathering client requests.
 • Receiving client request and problems in MS Word for MOM – Minutes of Meeting with

2. Central Government Project (Infosys):

Role: Support and Maintenance.

Description: In this project Government wanted to make a portal where all the small business
can be registered online via website. we made registration forms for registering the business.
These forms were made in PDF by using Adobe LC Workbench.

• Designing of Forms in pdf using Adobe LC Workbench.

• Giving rights and Privileges to Developers on Oracle database.

3. IFP: Investor Facilitation Portal (Tata Consultancy Services):

Role: Data Centre Administrator
Tools: Linux, Squirrel , Win SCP.
Description: Development and Maintenance of Investor Facilitation Portal for Industrial
Extension Bureau (iNDEXTb), on behalf of Govt. of Gujarat.
This project is an Investor friendly portal which will facilitate the investor in setting up industries
in Gujarat. It will guide the investors through the various complex government processes which
help them in setting up industry in Gujarat.. Using this portal investor can apply for all the basic
amenities which are required for an industry to start functioning. Since it acts as an interface to
various other systems within government, monitoring could now be done from a single window
for different kind of applications and requests. System will also aid government officers by
providing them with informative and cognitive charts and reports

Roles Included:

• Deployment at Data Centre on Maintenance, Application and Web Servers.

• Regular Back up of Ingres Database.
• Data Centre Administration.
• Handling Data Centre Audits.
• Preparing policies and Procedures , BCP - Business Continuity Plan for data centre.
• Taking logs Logs from server regularly for development team.
• Taking ownership and responsibility during absence of the team member.
 • Assist the team-leader in all the activities in the team.
• Receiving calls from users which are filtered through IVR Interactive Voice Response.
• Communication with Vendors of Database, Servers, Firewalls etc.
