How to Install
& Enjoy
Thank you for buying Volume 3 of Quilting Arts in Stitches, the interactive
whole new way. You’ll be reading in Stitches using the Adobe® AIR® reader, just as your computer uses Adobe® Reader® to view PDF files. To view the
eMag, you’ll need to perform a simple four-step process to install the reader and the magazine on your computer.
Before you begin the installation process, please take a moment to check the system requirements in the box below.
Installation
If you purchased the eMag earlier, but did
not download it, you can go to the My
Accounts section of the Interweave store
to begin the download. The download file
contains both the eMag and the Adobe®
AIR® reader that you will use to view it.
To install the Adobe® AIR® reader and the
eMag, follow these steps:
1. Download and save the
installation file When you click
to download, your browser may ask
whether you want to save the file or
run it. Choose “save.” If your browser
asks you where to save the file, select a
location that you can easily access such
as your desktop. Some browsers save
downloaded files into a default folder.
If you’re not sure where your download
saved, try looking in the Downloads
folder in your Home folder. Once the
download has completed, you should
see a window pop up on your desktop.
2. Open the installer Double click
the icon for QuiltingArtsInStitches3.
dmg. It will open a folder
with a file inside called "Install
QuiltingArtsInStitches Issue3". Double
click on the file icon to open the
installer. Please be patient as it may take
several minutes for the installer to pop
up on your screen.
3. Choose install location
Once the installer opens, you will see
a few different options on the screen.

We recommend that you leave all
these settings at their defaults. Notice
where the QuiltingArtsInStitches Issue3
application will be installed on your
computer. By default, it will be installed
in a folder called "Interweave eMags"
inside your “Applications” folder.
4. Finish the install and begin
reading Once you click “Continue,”
the application will install on your
computer. This may take several minutes.
Once the installation is complete, the
eMag application should automatically
start.
The eMag should be open on your screen
now. If you had any problems with the
installation or have questions, you can
contact Interweave Customer Service at
www.interweavestore.com/contact-us.
html or by calling (800) 272-2193 (Monday
– Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Mountain
Time).
Opening the eMagazine
To read your eMag in future, simply click
on the desktop icon, if you chose to
create one, or go to the folder where you
installed the eMagazine and click on the
application. (If you chose the default, it will
be in the "Interweave eMags" folder in your
Applications folder. If you've purchased
other Interweave eMags that are not in this
folder, you may want to keep them all here.)

note: Mac computers with
PowerPC® processors are not
supported, and this eMag is not
currently compatible with the Apple
iPad or the iPhone.
You can create a shortcut to view your
at any time by dragging the icon for
QuiltingArtsInStitches Issue3 to your dock.
Important note: The installer
that you downloaded in Step 1
(QuiltingArtsInStitches3.dmg) is NOT the
QuiltingArtsInStitches Issue3 application
itself. You won’t need to access this file after
you install it for the first time, but you will
want to save it some place in case you have
to reinstall your application in the future.

Quilting Arts in Stitches Vol. 3 is an
entirely unique product, separate from
Quilting Arts Magazine®, that focuses on
hand and machine stitch. Unlike the digital
editions of Quilting Arts Magazine®,
which are exact digital replications of the
print editions, Quilting Arts in Stitches
was developed solely as a digital product so
that it can capitalize on all the benefits of
online media capabilities, including videos,
slideshows, zoom options that enable you
to see close-ups of quilts, patterns that
can be downloaded and printed, abilities
to hyperlink to special sites, and so much
more.
4. Will Quilting Arts in Stitches be
available as a print magazine?
Because this was built as a digital product, it
will not be printed as a traditional magazine.
However, we hope you'll take advantage

mean that Quilting Arts Magazine®
will stop printing?
Absolutely not! Quilting Arts in Stitches
is an entirely separate, additional product
