BLC Structure
The P&G Business Launch Competition is a 3 day competition, with a new round
each day. The format for each of the 3 rounds is described below.

Round 1: Introduce Your Launch Plan!

Your team will have a maximum of 10 minutes to present the launch plan. The plan must be based
on the expectations set in your respective brand’s Toolkit. We of course, do not expect you to cover
every aspect of your plan in Round 1! You should only cover the following elements from each
section in Round 1:

From the Finance section cover: basic financials including price, volume (with justification), gross
margin, profit, and NPV.

From the Supply Chain section cover: a table outlining your basic decisions regarding each
component of Finished Product Logistics Cost (FPLC).

From the Marketing section cover: the objective of the launch, defined target market, key
communication idea (play TVC and display Key Visual), and the communication strategy.

From the Sales section cover: which trade channel would you prioritize/choose and why, and what
are the key benefits for the customer to keep your product on the shelves and displays.

There will be no Q&A in this round (except for clarification questions where required) and you will be
competing with teams representing the same brand as yours. Based on each team’s individual
performance, the judges will eliminate half of the teams.

Round 2: Exploration Round!

Successful teams from Round 1 will proceed to the next round. You will have the whole night to
prepare a 20 minute presentation on hypothetical crisis situations on your brand! You will be
competing with teams representing the same brand as yours.

Based on your team’s performance, the judges will qualify the best team for the Grand Final. This
round will include Q&A.
Grand Final!

The Big Finale! 5 teams will battle it out to become the BLC Champion! This is the first time your team
will face competition from teams’ representing each of the 5 brands on offer!

You will present the detailed Launch Plan developed using the toolkit, and refined after feedback
from your judges in Round 1 and 2. You will have 45 minutes to present, within which at least 15
minutes will be dedicated to Q&A.

In the Grand Final you will be judged by a panel of senior leaders from P&G Pakistan!
