BAKKEN 2D/3C SEISMIC TESTS

25 Years of Excellence!

Vector Seismic Data Processing, Inc. is pleased to announce the

immediate availability of two high-resolution, 3-component, dual-source 2D
seismic test programs designed to unlock the potential for imaging sweet spots
in the Middle Bakken in the Williston Basin.

Both programs, shown on the attached map, and recorded in 2008, tie key producing
wells in the prolific Bakken trend in North Dakota and both provide comprehensive testing
and analysis and successfully identify the seismic signature of natural fractures in the Middle
Bakken Formation.

N.E. Nesson 2D/3C Test Program

This program, recorded and processed in the spring of 2008, consists of a 2D, 3-
component, dual-source seismic profile approximately 10 miles long. The line orientation is
approximately north-south and ties 3 producing Bakken wells in Burke and Mountrail
Counties, ND on the eastern edge of Tioga Field. The package includes all of the raw and
experimentally-processed P-wave CDP data, as well as both the radial and transverse
converted shear-wave common-conversion point (CCP) processing for both the Vibroseis
and the deep-hole dynamite versions of the line. In addition, comprehensive source tests
(both dynamite and Vibroseis), modeling and a detailed, 130-page report is included in the
package.

Parshall-Sanish 2D/3C Test Program

Recorded in the fall of 2008 and released for license in January 2009, the Parshall-
Sanish 2D, 3-component, dual-source seismic profile is about 27 miles long and ties a key
dry hole, the Behm Energy Edwards 33H well in NW NW S33 T154N R88W east of Parshall
Field with prolific Middle Bakken production in both the Parshall and Sanish Fields to the
west. The line orientation is roughly NE to SW, begins in Ward County and extends entirely
across Mountrail County, ND. The package includes all of the raw and experimentally-
processed P-wave CDP data, as well as both the radial and transverse converted shear-wave
common-conversion point (CCP) processing for both the Vibroseis and the deep-hole
dynamite versions of the line. In addition, comprehensive source tests (both dynamite and
Vibroseis), well modeling and a detailed, 190-page report is included in the package.

Acquisition Parameters
Both the N.E. Nesson 2D/3C Test and the Parshall-Sanish 2D/3C Test were
recorded with identical field parameters as follows:

Group Interval .................................................................82.5 ft.

Source Interval ...............................................................495 ft.
Spread ...........................................................19,923.75-206.25-X-206.25-19,923.75
Source Type ......................................................Dynamite 2kg. @ 40 ft.
.................................................................... and Vibroseis (8-128Hz. 12 sec. sweep)
Geophones.................................................. 3-component Aries MC 10Hz. or equivalent
Number of Channels ......................................................480
Nominal Fold .............................................................. 4,000%
Bin Spacing .......................................................................41.25 ft.
Record Length....................................................................6.0 sec @ 1 ms.

All of the processing was accomplished at 1ms. sample rate and exhaustively
tested and optimized for resolution, integrity and high-fidelity. High-density, continuous
(CDP by CDP, sample by sample) 4th-order velocity analyses were performed and state-
of-the-art 3-component non-hyperbolic processing was done on the converted shear -
wave data. Vector’s proprietary Vector High Fidelity algorithm was applied to the data
post-stack to enhance both signal-to-noise and resolution. Frequencies on the order of
200Hz are typical.

Both datasets, including their respective source tests, modeling, analysis and
comprehensive reports are available from Vector Seismic Data Processing, Inc. on a non-
exclusive license for the following terms:
