Environmental impact assessment (eia) is the process of identifying, assessing and managing the environmental impacts of a project. It identifies the positive and negative socio-economic impacts of the project, as well as positive and negative environmental impacts. It also identifies mitigation measures that can be put in place to minimize negative impacts and enforced to enhance positive impacts.
