Eswaraseva Trust Activities – Decisions taken in Paliam sangamam dated to 17/04/2011

At the sangamam meeting 2011 the Manager briefed the members about his proposals
regarding various works to be carried out by Eswaraseva Trust during the year 2011. Manager
has been entrusted with the management of following centers under Eswaraseva Trust:

1. Paliam Kovilakam and its premises .

2. Paliam Nalukettu and its premises.
3. Eswaraseva Temple, Sahasranamapura, Thevarapadi and its premises
Ponds etc.
4. Cremation Ground
5. Paliam Tharavadu,Bhagavathi Temple management in co-ordination with
the temple committee and female members of the family.

Of the above Paliam Nalukettu and Kovilakam are included in the Muzris project as heritage
buildings and is being renovated and protected and will be converted as museum. The entire
expenditure for the same will be spent by the Government and any further expenditure towards
major maintenance works of the said buildings will also be carried out by the Government.
However the day today revenue expenditure for running the museum will have to be carried out
by the Trust from the” income” received from the guests.
Eswaraseva Temple :

Major repairs to the Thidappilly, pond, pavement work etc has been completed during April
2011 itself with available fund from the Eswaraseva Trust at a cost of Rs 1.50 Lacks We have
not approached the members for contribution for this purpose. At Thevarapady some minor
repairs has to be carried out.

Sahasranamapura along with kitchen:

As you may be already aware that the above building attached to Eswaraseva Temple is earlier
used by the spouses of the female members (Namboothiry).The very word “sahasranamapura”
itself reveals the purpose for which it is used/built. The hall is also used for serving food for big
gatherings .The kitchen is also attached to the hall.Subsequently we started using this hall for
conducting Sapthahams,Shathabhishekams and other birthday celebrations of the family
members

At the sangamam meeting , Manager proposed to the members that he is going ahead with
the renovation /repair of the sahasranamapura with all facilities and without disturbing the
sanctity of the “Hall”. The approximate cost for the renovation work (civil, electrical,
water,plumbing, drainage, false sealing etc.) will be around Rs 7 lacks. It is a fact that
Eswaraseva Trust is not having any regular income other than Political pension which is suffice
only for paying salary to the poojari. Hence we have to generate fund from the members for the
renovation work. We have already started the renovation work by taking loan from the F.D,
since roofing wall to be completed before ensuing monsoon.

Cremation ground :-(chudala valappu)

As already proposed and approved in the sangamam 2011 the cremation ground will be
developed and made into an echo friendly plot by planting mango saplings in the space
available other than used for funereal rites. The work involved for this purpose is divided into
two parts namely initial development expenditure and protection and maintenance of the plants
for 5 years. Initial expense includes development of land, clearing debris and unwanted growth
of weeds, compound wall repair, providing new gates, digging of pits, purchase of mango
saplings, provision for watering the plants ,lighting etc. the second part is maintaining and
protection of plants for a period of 5 years on contract basis. The cost per sponsoring a tree
approximately works out to be around Rs10000/-

WE propose to plant 30 mango saplings which will be sponsored by the members of the family
in remembrance of their late, parents grand parents , brothers ,sisters etc.After 5 years the
maintenance and protection of trees will be carried out from the income generated from the
trees. Planting of mango saplings at smashanam will start during the first week of June when
monsoon starts.

Members are requested to please contribute liberally for the renovation works at
sahasranamapura and sponsoring trees at the smashanam. The payment by way of
cheque/D..D etc to be drawn in favour of Paliam Eswaraseva Trust, Chendamangalam and

Money can be remitted/transferred from other banks through NEFT (upto Rs.2 lakhs), RTGS
(amounts exceeding Rs 2 lakhs) or through GRPT (from SBI and associate banks). The
