AUSTRALIAN FEDERATION OF PAKISTAN ORGANISATIONS INC.

On Pakistan Day function eve we announced our affiliation with Australian Federation of
Pakistan Organisations. By the grace of Allah the Federation is
now registered. Following is the list of member organisations

Discrimination Matters May 2010

A Muslim complainant attended a recreation park along with a large group, also of the Muslim
faith. The complainant said staff at the park had rudely and disrespectfully excluded the group
from parts of the facility because their clothing had breached safety regulations. This caused
others at the park to make racially and religiously offensive remarks. Park staff apologised, paid
$16,000 as well as free admission to the facility and agreed to review its assessment of
appropriate clothing. It also arranged a special welcome by managers to restore the relationship
between the group and the park’s staff

The Ethnic Communities Council of Western Australia would like to invite

To our Free Book Fair on Saturday 12 June 2010, 3.00 to 5.00 pm, at 20 View St North Perth.

New and second hand books will be available free to ECCWA member organisations. These
include children’s story books, books for children and teens on history, geography, science,
society and religion. Young adult novels and fiction for adults will also be available.
