Working for several clients in the three state area and represented these firms
as follows:
Project Manager in school projects for the School Construction Authority (SCA).
Projects for SCA included final
scope reports for kitchen Ansul systems in public schools throughout Brooklyn, Q
ueens and Staten Island.
As HVAC Design Engineer and Construction Manager designed and supervised the upg
rade of a 40 years old pneumatic system. The project name was Climate Control U
pgrade for PS620Q - Thomas Edison H.S. in Queens.
My duties were to write a report of existing conditions with findings and recomm
endations and producing a final
scope of work report. As a construction manager supervised with weekly meetings
progress of project and at the end produced final punch list.
As Fire Protection Design Engineer installed a new fire alarm sprinkler system i
n The Newark Wellbeing Pavilion
Building, a new medical facility. The sprinkler system consisted of a wet and d
ry pipes system as per NFPA No. 13
guidelines. The HVAC system was fire protected as per NFPA No's 90A, 90B and 20
4 guidelines. Electronic equipment and documents storage rooms were protected w
ith FM200 gaseous clean agent as per NFPA No. 2001
guidelines.

Engineered and designed the replacement of existing chiller plant for a multipur
pose building for the Human Resource Administration (HRA) in the Bronx. A centr
ifugal chiller was replaced by five and one stand-by chillers modules with a cap
acity of 20 tons and a 15 hp motors for each module, two new chilled water pumps
, two new hot water pumps and a new 170 tons cooling tower.
Converted an office building into an auxiliary medical facility for the city of
Newark. The Newark Wellbeing
Pavilion Building was designed with a 90 tons rooftop cooling and heating air ha
ndling unit and a variable air
volume system with electrical reheat coils for general use areas. Also, a const
ant air system with 100% outdoor
air intake and totally exhausted to outdoors thru HEPA filters, serving isolatio
n rooms and emergency rooms.
Surveyed and evaluated several existing air conditioning systems serving City Ha
ll, a landmark historic building in Newark, New Jersey. Prepared a written
report of existing equipment conditions with findings and recommendations and p
roduced a final scope of work report. The new final design for the City Hall of
Newark building included a combination of several split air systems, air condit
ioned rooftop units, chiller plant, pumps
and a cooling tower.

Led the design of the expansion of the Newark Star Ledger newsprint plant locate
d in Piscataway, New Jersey. The new newsprint facility required a constant air
volume system with 100% outside air intake and totally exhausted to outdoors th
ru automatic moving-curtain dry-media filters. Air conditioning and humidity co
ntrol at 75 degrees and 45% relative humidity was necessary to preserve paper, i
nk and plates in printing operation.

ty control varies 75 degrees or less (62 degrees operating rooms) and 30% to 60%
relative humidity.

upancy. Redundancy of a/c equipment with cross-connect chilled-water or refriger
ation for a back-up system.
