The Ardician Universal Concept of Progress i

The Ardician Universal Concept of Progress 17. May. 2011

1. Purpose and Shortened Synopsis

THIS document will serve the purpose of defining, explaining, and teaching the core values of the
Ardician ideology.

Covered in this document will be the concepts of progress and advancement, education, foreign
relations, rights of the Ardician people, rights of the non-Ardician people, and the individual Ardician.

While this document does primarily describe concepts and core values of the Ardician people, it
also contains some Ardician human rights that everyone must be aware of, both Ardician and non-Ardician.

2. The Ardician Universal Concept of Progress

What is the definition of progress?

The Ardician knows progress from the very time of their birth. When the child is born, the first thing
they begin to do is learn. They explore. They teach themselves and get taught by others. Their environment
is one huge mystery made up of millions of fibers of smaller mysteries – and this environment changes
these mysteries as time moves.

By the very nature of our world, we wish to progress, to learn, to explore, to understand. There are
mysteries we have solved, those we have yet to solve, and those we may never solve – but we sure will try
our hand at cracking them open.

Ardicio is at the forefront of solving those mysteries. Discoveries are made every day, but in Ardicio
discoveries are made every minute of every hour of every day. This can only be done by having the drive
for progress. The Ardician people can only maintain our position as the leaders of the future of the world by
teaching our young the importance of ambition, and the necessity for ambition in a progressive nation.

Progress is our mindset. Progress is what we live for. We are the proprietors and discoverers of the
latest in Technology and Science. We are the leaders of the future, and will shape it as we see fit.

The question then becomes, how will you support our ideals – your ideals? To ensure the greatest
possible future for yourself and for the nation, this document is to be read and learned by all in attendance
to the high schools and colleges, students and faculty alike, and an abridged edition is to be taught to the
children of elementary schools.

Never forget the national motto, as these are words to live by, and define us as a people in all
endeavours and activities.

“Progress via strategy, the future via progress.”

3. Concept of Education
Progress is not possible without education.

Ardicio recognizes education as the learning of subjects that are conducive to a productive and
progressive future for the individual and the people as a whole, in city and in nation. These subjects include
(but are not limited to) the Sciences (both “Definite” and “Personal”), Mathematics, Government and
Economic Systems, Communication and Language, and Engineering. These are the core subjects that
must be instilled in the young before other subjects can be introduced.

While there are some subjects in the educational systems throughout Ardicio that are not inherently
progressive, most subjects are inclined toward a progressive lifestyle. Both types of subjects are
necessary, as individuals do need time to themselves and enjoy things other than progressive work –
entertainment, as it were. Classes that deal with the arts, literature, and with musical endeavours are
necessary to keep oneself happy when putting their greatest amounts of effort toward the core subjects.
Thus, both types of classes – progressive and non-progressive – are respected for what they lend to us as
human beings.

Focus is directed at education through the two forms of Sciences, the Definite Sciences and
Personal Sciences, and for good reason. The largest indicators of a nation's progress are its developments
in the Sciences. Between the two Sciences, the Definite Sciences (those that deal specifically with matter,
chemicals, elements, medicines, and useful developments) take precedent over the Personal Sciences
(those that deal primarily with the body, with the mind, and with behaviours of human beings), though both
fields are treated with equal respect.

Because education is of fundamental necessity and paramount importance, education through

college in the amount of four years is required by all Ardician peoples, without exception. All people are to
decide their primary interest in the educational subjects early in high school, and to re-evaluate these
choices every year of their college education, and to pursue their aims as far as they are willing beyond the
required participation.

This covers the concept of education and the application thereof.

4. Foreign Relations and Integration

Progress can be aided through the integration of some foreign concepts and policies. This section
describes the concept of “foreign integration”.

No one individual can say that they are more efficient than a team of minds and hands working
together. The same can be said between nations. By this token, Ardicio is an avid supporter of building
foreign relations, and condones the integration of the best ideas, people, services, and resources other
nations can offer. This is also the same reason that foreign languages are heavily encouraged throughout
our educational system, on all levels.

Public relations in any field require impeccable communication skills, and the foreign relations
sector is certainly no exclusion. Communication skills include more than just being sensitive to other
cultures and aware of one's body language, of course. The all-important concept of tolerance is paramount
in early education on the subject of foreign policy. Elementary school students are constantly being made
aware of the fact that there is indeed more to the world than that which can be found within our borders,
and that the best things that can be found in any field of study may be found outside Ardicio with just as
much likelihood as in our own neighbourhoods.

All foreign nations that treat Ardicio with very little hostility and at least a neutral level of hospitality
are to be treated with the utmost respect, as you would give your very own neighbour. Their ideas are to be
heard just as readily as you are to profess your ideas to them, and their differing concepts are to be
approached with an open and tolerant mind, leaving prejudices and progress-hampering pride to those of
inferior mental capacity.

With that, Ardicio welcomes you to visit with foreign nations, both neighbours in close quarters and
abroad, and encourages you to bring back new ideas and concepts that we may bring to the world
audience.

5. Ardicio's Human Rights: The Ardician

The Ardician resident has certain rights allotted to them by the nation, and while there are more
than will be mentioned here, those that follow are the rights specified as essential to the continued progress
of the nation and its people.

1. The Ardician has a right to their own interests in developing their life within the parameters of
Ardician legislation, and to extensive education in one or more specific academic fields of study.

2. The Ardician has a right to obtain knowledge of dangerous sciences and practices, including that
information which could allow the learner to become a hazard to themselves or others – this is a necessary
right to maintain the standards of free-flowing and ever-evolving information that we may all benefit from
perusing. Information is not to be limited under Ardician law – this is a fundamental Ardician value.

3. Ardician residents also retain the right to choose their life partner and to enter into a uniting bond
with that competently consenting person, so long as the pair have a definite plan for progressive
contributions to the nation that will not be significantly harmed by the unity.
4. The Ardician, naturally, also reserves the right to refuse a life partner at any time in their life, and
to change their mind on a united bond with a life partner, so long as a Bond Consultant of Personal
Sciences determines that the united bond cannot remain peaceful and meaningful between the couple.

5. The Ardician resident retains the right to be awarded and recognized for their meaningful and
significant contributions to the progress of the nation and its people.
6. The Ardician, naturally, also reserves the right to refuse award and recognition for their
contributions and accomplishments.

These major rights and others are necessary to maintain the high standards of progressive work
within Ardicio, and the public will do well to understand these, as questioning the accepted fundamentals of
the political system is a counter-productive pastime for those who have yet to grasp the concepts for
themselves. This kind of education is best done in elementary years, and left there in the interest of
spending more time in high school and college on studies that will change the future.

Such are the concepts of human rights for the Ardician resident.

6. Ardicio's Human Rights: The Non-Ardician

The non-Ardician also has defined rights in relation to Ardicio, though they are significantly different
from those enjoyed by Ardicians.

1. The freedom of information may be withheld by some institutions and cities to non-Ardician
individuals determined to not be fit to utilize the information in an honest and pure manner. This can include
but is not limited to characters who may imply they will use the information for malicious reasons against
others, or imply they will traffic the information to those who would use it maliciously. This limitation can be
affected by institutional representatives (including officials and clerks), city officials and clerks, and
government officials and clerks.

2. The non-Ardician, in accordance with Ardician principles, must have a significant reason for
making appointment with government members (including clerks, receptionists, and other non-officer
employees) that will affect a progressive contribution to the nation and its people. This will be determined
by a clerk or government official (or any member of the government higher in the chain).

The list of non-Ardician rights and limitations is short, in keeping with the progressive Ardician
concept of foreign relations. After all, Ardicio is not hostile toward non-Ardicians in any way, and its policies
should carry this message in all possible forms.

Such is Ardicio's Human Rights for the Non-Ardician.

7. The Individual
“The Individual” refers to you as an Ardician resident, and as the future of the nation.

How this document is used to change the future of Ardicio, of your family and friends, and of the
world, is entirely up to you. These concepts center around “progress” because that is what is, at our core,
the only means of developing a future worth having. If we do not work toward tomorrow, it will not come, no
matter what the solar system has to say about it.

The power of the nation lies nowhere but within the individual itself. Only the people can create a
nation, and only the people can make it disappear. That being said, let these concepts not fall upon
clouded eyes or covered ears. Let these concepts grab hold of you as a proprietor of the world's future, and
let them show you what you can really do. Choose your path, change as is necessary, and make decisions
that will make the future a reality.
