PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
COSMOTE MOBILE TELECOM - ATHENS, GREECE 2000-2008
A subsidiary of Hellenic Telecommunications since 1998 and Greece's largest mobi
le telecommunications company, the firm has grown by acquiring mobile operators
in Albania, Romania, Bulgaria, and F.Y.R. of Macedonia, as well as through impro
vements in coverage and service level. Assigned as Chief Executive to turn aroun
d or relaunch acquired operations in other countries.
Chief Executive Officer, Cosmote Romania Mobile Communications, 2005-2008
Led the restructuring and re-launch of a failed company that in December 2005 ha
d fewer than 25,000 subscribers and revenues at year end of 8 million. Expanded
and upgraded the entire network and relaunched the service with a new business n
ame against such strong competitors as Vodafone.
* Built market share to 23% (5.9 million subscribers) and revenues to 311.0 mill
ion by the end of 2008.
* Company achieved a positive EBIDTA of 22.5 million in 2008 and is projected to
have net profits in 2009.
Chief Executive Officer, Globul - Bulgaria Mobile Communications, 2003-2005
Assumed operational control of a troubled, year-old firm with a 65% bad debt rat
io and a high CAPEX problem in the presence of a strong competitor. Instituted s
trong financial controls, enhanced service offerings, and undercut pricing of th
e only significant market competition.
* Grew revenues from 47 million to 274 million in 2005 and the customer base fro
m 465,000 subscribers to 2.4 million, a 40% market share.
* Achieved EBIDTA of 93.7 million and net profits to 26.3 million.

Served a dual assignment as CTO for the whole group while serving as CEO, Globul
, above. Managed technology development and deployment across multiple divisions
and subsidiaries.

* Led the successful startup of operations of the Albanian subsidiary, AMC.
* Participated in the IPO for Cosmote Greece in 2000 that led to listing on Lond
on and Greek exchanges and made contributions that made it one of the Top 5 Perf
orming telecommunications stocks in Europe through 2007.
TIM HELLAS (NOW WIND) MOBILE COMMUNICATIONS - ATHENS, GREECE 1996-2000
At the time one of the two largest mobile telecommunications firms in Greece.
