Based on the results of the Dutch Cone Penetration tests DCPT-2 and DCPT-3, carried out around
building area, shallow foundation can be adopted to support buildings. The base of the shallow
foundation may be placed at 1 – 2 m depth.
Bearing capacity value for shallow foundation can be estimated from DCPT data using the following
formula that allows a 25 mm settlement;
qa = qc / 12
where:
Based on Terzaghi formula, the allowable soil bearing capacity at 1 m depth is 10 ton/m²
3.2.1 General
This section establishes general project-wide criteria and design basis for the electrical distribution systems
within the site. The site electrical distribution systems include the utility connections. The facilities and
infrastructure electrical distribution include the electrical distribution within each facility or infrastructure.
This design concept includes electrical works for the expansion of Coal Stockpile, Crushing Plant and Barge
Load out Facilities and consists of:
• System Power Supplies
• Electrical Distribution System Are these the same system? If so, either one
• Lighting and Socket Systems should be deleted.
• Distribution System
• Lightning Arrester System
• Telephone System
• Sound System
• Flame Sensing System
• CCTV, SAS (Security Alarm System)

DESIGN CRITERIA
Distribution system is a cable network linking the main panel to distribution panels. The generated electric
power shall be distributed to the centers of the main panel load through underground cables with a single
system feeder. The distribution system which is distributed from the panel of main / LVMDP consists of radial

3.2.6 Special Requirements in Electrical Design Is 3.2.6 necessary as the design criteria?
The electrical generating system shall be a single package system which is composed of rectifier / battery /
inverter units and diesel generators with the integrated control system in the overall operation of the generating
unit in the system. Other special requirements in the electrical design are:
• Loads during the day should be able to be provided with the use of electric generating unit
• The heat of the ground and the cable resistance in the soil must be varied during the test.
• In an emergency sentence incomplete
• In the daytime, in case of the peak load / burden, the generator will automatically work

DESIGN CRITERIA
Considering the above, the lightning rod system to be used is the conventional system with the principle of a
faraday cage having main distributor conductors placed on the top of a building that seems to form a protective
cage to protect the building from lightning strikes.
The following factors shall be considered in planning and installing the lightning protection system:
• Technical safety
• Delivery bearer section
• Mechanical resistance
• Resistance to corrosion
• Shape and size of the protected buildings
• Economic factors
• Overload protection
• Short circuit protection
• Protection of grounding disturbance
• Lightning protection
• Protection of over voltage disturbance
A-25
DESIGN CRITERIA
Lighting and socket system shall be given in the following facilities: Workshop, Warehouse, Control room,
Power house, Conveyor, Crusher and street lighting.
Type of lamp shall be:
• Workshop : high bay SON-T 250 W.
• Warehouse : high bay HPI-T 250 No description for
• Conveyor Lighting : metromine 70 W. Powerhouse and
• Crusher : SON-T 250 W Control Room. To
be added.
• Street lighting : SON-T 150 W

Following shall be described;
1. Purpose of the sound system
2. Locations/facilities to be provided with the sound system
3. Equipment to be used for this system

3.2.12 Sound System
What is "public" in the Jamut project?
This system is divided into two; sound system for public and emergency/evacuation.
The flame sensing system shall be an addressable system which is able to detect fast and easily the flame.
To make these sentences more clear. What is the
3.2.14 CCTV, SAS (Security Alarm System) meaning of "guarantee the facilities" and
"guarantee the service usage security"?
CCTV and SAS shall be placed to guarantee the facility. It is also expected to guarantee the service usage

DESIGN CRITERIA
isolation gate valve and associated piping including pressure gages and drain assemblies.
Operating considerations.
To simplify plant operations, the following guidelines should be observed in the design stage.
1) Unnecessary equipment and operations should be eliminated.
2) Operations requiring frequent attention from plant operators should be located reasonably close
together. The most attention is generally required for operation of filters, flocculators, and chemical
feeding equipment.
3) Chemical handling and feeding should also be simplified as much as possible. Unloading and storage
areas for chemicals should be easily maintained and readily accessible and be close to the point of
application of chemicals.
4) Plants treating river water must be arranged to provide the flexibility of treatment needed to cope with
raw water quality changes.
Water demand for new utilities and new coal process is summarized below:
2 Workshop
Personal 5.00 person
Clean water req. /person/day 50.00 Lt/person/day
Total clean water req. 250.00 Lt/day
3 Control Room
Personal 3.00 person

Total clean water req. 150.00 Lt/day
4 Powerhouse
Personal 2.00 person

DESIGN CRITERIA
3.3.5.1 General
For dust control, dust suppression system by water spray will be provided for the following facilities.
3.3.5.2 References
The percentage of water added to the material is extremely low because only the fugitive dust is effective. The
control efficiency of the system can be in excess of 95% depending on application.
