nd DC power conditioning equipment.
Reliability Engineer: developed the reliability program at APP. Established rel
iability goals and wrote test plans for all new product development programs, re
quiring reliability modeling and allocation, reliability predictions (MTBF analy
sis), component derating guidelines, failure modes, effects and criticality anal
ysis (FMECA), failure tracking via a failure reporting, analysis, and corrective
action system (FRACAS), reliability growth tracking, documenting and reporting
on all of the above. Developed Excel spreadsheets to aid in component derating
analysis and FMECA. Improved reliability by a factor of 4:1 within the first ye
ar of production on new programs.
Senior Quality Engineer: was responsible for all AC and DC power supply lines, i
ncluding incoming, in-process, and final inspection and all manufacturing phases
in between. Tracked warranty returns, reducing failure incidents by 25% on mos
t major programs. Established procedures to prevent the acceptance of counterfe
it components. Created an Excel based Discrepant Material Reporting system to r
