OBJECTIVE: Journeyman Electrician position.
QUALIFICATIONS
I worked for General Motors at the Buick complex from 2-24-1975. I we
nt on skilled trades on 07-23-1979 and gained Journeyman status on 01-19-1984. A
s an electrician I did much troubleshooting and maintenance of production machin
ery. I have spent about three years on construction and building maintenance. Ru
nning conduit and pulling wire for new installation of machines and offices. As
an apprentice I worked in a variety of situations including the motor winding sh
op for several months.
I am skilled with ladder diagrams and blue prints, 3 phase motors, wi
ring and installation. I've worked with 110vac, 220vac, 440vac. I worked install
ing and wiring newly installed machinery. I have worked on Allen Bradley, Modico
n, Siemens and other controls and their panels. I have repaired and worked with
pretty much everything at the Buick complex. I have also spent time building con
trol panels from blue prints. I've worked with material handling devices doing i
nstall and troubleshooting.
I have worked on sub-stations and their load lines. I am familiar wit
h and use OSHA safety procedures. My work ethics are such as to inspire the hard
est working men to want me on their crews. I was the only woman electrician at B
uick able to have earned that distinction. I take great pride in my work and wor
k my place. It was an honor to work at Buick and I look forward to working with
your company.
EDUCATION
1972 As Deanna Gayle McIntyre (my maiden name) I graduated from
Flushing High School,
Flushing, Michigan.
1979 - 1984 Mott Community College GM Trades courses.
EMPLOYMENT
1975-1979 Production, Final Assembly at Buick Motor Division, Flint
I worked on the final assembly line at first (0-300). I
later became an "extra" to fill in for absentees. I had to learn all the jobs in
a given area. Later I became a relief person and it was my responsibility to gi
ve the line workers their breaks. When offered, I did work double shifts.

1979-1984 Electrician Apprentice, Buick Motor Division, Flint


My apprenticeship began in factory 31-75 where I began l
earning the basics and concepts. My training was in heavy manufacturing it was e
xtensive and diverse.

1984-1987 Journeyman Electrician, Buick Motor Division, Flint


My duties are explained in my qualifications above. I of
ten worked alone but enjoyed the company of other trades people when the job war
ranted.
My final duties as an electrician was building control panels from blue prints.
