Resources Skills: As human resources administrator for 12 years,
negotiated labor contracts with four unions, administered salary and
benefits budgets amounting to 55+ million dollars, provided
counseling, intervention or discipline for at-risk employees,
initiated formal employee assistance program, and recruited high-level
administrators, professionals and support staff at a high retention
rate. Selected by my peers in 501 Pennsylvania School Districts as
Vice-President for two years and President for one year of the Eastern
Pennsylvania Association of School Personnel Administrators (EPASPA)
and selected as President-Elect of the Pennsylvania Association of
School Personnel Administrators (PASPA) in 2008.
Writing, Editing and Visual Media Skills: Proven background of
excellent writing, editing and visual media skills, especially under
urgent deadlines and in time-sensitive situations. Writing assignments
have included requests for proposals (RFP), public presentations,
organizational audit reports, budget presentations, marketing
communication materials, Federal grant-writing proposals, news
releases, news articles and features, computer-generated brochures and
newsletters, speech writing, fact-finding and investigative reports,
organizational policies, handbooks, recruiting materials, employee
newsletters, and official letters and reports for Superintendents or
Boards to sign and issue, based on legal research or consultation with
legal counsel. Extensive use of computer-generated graphics programs

Media Relations: For 19 years, as former newspaper reporter, developed
excellent rapport with print and broadcast media contacts, working in
field of public relations. Generated positive feature stories for
print and electronic news media, developed crisis communications
plans, served as organizational spokesperson in crisis situations, and
produced steady stream of positive news releases, visual images and
feature ideas for internal and external publications and electronic
media.
Marketing Communications: Established a freelance marketing practice
centered on entrepreneurial medical and health care organizations,
including physical therapy, employee wellness, peer review of physical
therapy treatments, executive health plans, and reviews of workers
compensation cases. Working with directors of these organizations and
