Objective
My objective is to find a place where I can use the 30 + years experience that I
have working in the shipping container industry. In my years of employment in t
he manufacturing and shipping industry I was afforded the opportunity to learn t
he entire industry from the warehousing and storing of the raw materials to be u
sed on the converting machinery to the warehousing and shipping of the products
to our customers. I was certified to operate forklifts, clamp trucks, transfer c
ars. Once I became knowledgeable the running of every department within our plan
t I was promoted to the position of Manufacturing Supervisor, where I was very i
nstrumental in the converting, storage, and shipping of all products. I was taug
ht how to schedule the running of the product on the production machinery and en
sured it flowed throughout the plant to be loaded on the trailers for delivery t
o our customers. I made sure that the product was dispatched, loaded properly an
d delivered to our customers in the utmost quality condition. I was in charge of
the inventory of our entire product in the warehouse to insure that it was rota
ted out properly and that we didnt continually over run the same items.

Abilities
I have been blessed with many skills and abilities. I can operate and have been
certified to operate forklifts, clamp trunks, transfer cars, and power lifts. I
can schedule, store, and dispatch product as needed or required, I can supervise
, motivate, and instruct in the safe operating procedures in a production envir
onment and the importance there of. I can inventory product, place items on a sp
readsheet and report everything thats in inventory.

My job duties included the training of all the people on my shift in Safety, Qua
lity, Productivity,& Waste Reduction. I was also responsible for the ordering of
all manufacturing parts for each machine and misc. supplies. I also did work sc
hedules for our converting and corrugators departments. I helped write our work
processes and made sure they were implemented. I was also responsible for the ac
curacy of all my employees time. I conducted tool box and safety meeting. I was
required to attend all management meeting including planning scheduling. I also
was responsible for the disciplining of all my employees.

While I was employed at Smurfit Stone, I received numerous awards for perfect at
tendance and in safety for years of no accident. I also received awards from the
corporation for quality and for being in the 5 best running machines in the cor
poration. I also have received certificates of completion from our corporate tra
ining facility in Chicago for converting training & 2 certificates for leadershi
p and motivational training. I also received certification to drive P.I.T. or Po
wered Industrial Vehicles such as forklifts @clamp trucks. I am also qualified t
o operate transfer cars.
