* Participated in the development of a Clinical Operations Plan and Data Managem
ent Plan for a multi-center Investigator-sponsored Phase II clinical trial by ap
plying clinical and scientific expertise.
* Primary liaison between UCSF and other investigative sites for a Phase II inve
stigator-sponsored multi-center clinical trial regarding protocol inquiries, ame
ndments, patient exemptions.
* Managed all research activities including study start-up, site initiation, stu
dy conduct, data management and monitoring.
* Designed study specific electronic and paper CRFs.
* Prepared and submitted regulatory documents to the Institutional Review Board.
* Create standard reports for interim safety and efficacy analysis, data managem
ent audit and ad-hoc needs.
* Ensure accuracy, consistency and completeness of clinical data through edit ch
ecks,
manual review of CRFs and use of external systems such as SAS; manage discrepanc
ies and data queries.
* Responsible for the project management and data management of a multi-center
NIH-funded genetic trial on molecular markers involving 2,000 patients, which ac
companied a Phase III clinical trial in colon cancer.
* Perform literature searches, participate in data analysis and scientific writi
ng of abstracts and manuscripts for presentation at scientific meetings and publ
ication in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
* Plan, write and execute statistical programs using SAS for analysis of researc
h data, data cleaning and reporting. Create customized datasets, tables, figures
and listings to support ongoing studies.
* Design and review database structures; maintain and modify a relational clinic
al research database in Filemaker Pro and e-Velos. Supervise data entry staff.
