Plant Manager, Camargo, Chihuahua (2008 - Present)
Served as the Plant Manager with full P&L responsibility for the strategic plann
ing, development, and operations management for the 90K square foot Camargo Plan
t with revenues in excess of $80M.
* Directed the scheduling of all production activities for all construction and
industrial electrical and electronic products; process control, procedural deve
lopment, quality assurance, staffing, safety, resource utilization, short and lo
ng-range planning, and all continuous improvement activities.
* Analyzed the daily financial performance of the business operations; tracked
and analyzed all costs, created and implemented internal control systems, and ap
plied lean principles to streamline business processes; served as the prime inte
rface for the facility communicating production output commitments and schedule/
production issues to both corporate and other sites.
* Managed the budget administration and funding activities for a yearly budget
in excess of $6.5M including the acceptance, disbursement, and accounting of mon
ies for labor, inventory, supplies, resources, raw materials, and equipment.
* Directly supervised, evaluated, and oversaw the work efforts of over 700 empl
oyees including cohesive teams of the production managers, engineers, technician
s, and operators overseeing yield of all production.
* Managed a comprehensive quality control program to ensure that production was
compliant with all customer requirements; supervised continuous improvement act
ivities for the operation implementing corrective actions to ensure that ISO-900
1 standards were met.
* Oversaw the organizational certification for CTPAT (Customs-Trade Partnership
Against Terrorist); documented the identification of at-risk situations for the
organization.
