mentioned position. I have been a General Contractor for the past 10 Years- C
onstruction Management is "WHAT I DO!" I have been a single parent of 2 Childr
en for the past 20 years, while I successfully operated my company at the same t
ime - Which demonstrates my ability to Multi-Task. This economy has made everyo
ne in the building and real estate industry very "HUMBLE", and I am especially
being affected, but holding on by a thread.
I am "NOT" a desk person- I am a Contractor - who in fact has extensive experie
nce dealing with the Corps of Engineers- as an estimator, project Manager, and
on site superintendant- I am familiar with the FAR's, Government Specification
s and Building Requirements, and most importantly, I am very confident that I
can become very proficient with the (CDBG) with a couple of weeks. I know and u
nderstand that I have to read and understand the rules before I play any game.
I will get the best quality job done under whatever limited resources or manpow
er that is available- because I will do it, if all else fails! .................
.. And there is nothing about home building or repairs that I don't know!!!!!!!!
My largest project was $1.6 Mil. My company had over 18 sub-contractors, 12 emp
loyees (mostly laborers) hired at the site, and I superintended the whole build
ing project from the beginning site work to the end of the job and the owner was
allowed to occupy the building because it was complete. All of the government
opportunities are computer generated, so my computer skills are very adequate.
I am not an expert by a long shot - but I am very competitive when it comes to
staying with the times.
I am HONEST- I have no VICES- and I take great pride in doing my best
. So, if you want someone that will take pride in an all out effort to do their
best - Then I am your man. I am looking forward to an interview, so that you
can discover the infra-structure of "ME", since this resume will only be the tip
of the iceberg. Most of my compiling attributes aren't on my resume.
