CAREER SUMMARY
I am an Association and Financial Service Executive with extensive experience in
marketing, leadership training and project and staff management. During my car
eer, I have served financial service professionals who are members of a large pr
ofessional membership association. I am an innovative and passionate self-start
er with an ability to develop mutually respectful relationships with people and
an ability to achieve organizational vision through the proper allocation of sca

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Managing Director- Strategic Initiatives
2007-2009
As a member of the Leadership Team at FSP, I worked with the volunteers and took
their organizational vision and transformed it into organizational reality. I
created and developed all the new strategic initiatives that volunteer leadershi
p deemed of critical importance to the success of the association. This respons
ibility allowed me to utilize my talents as a visionary and leader as well as my
excellent written and verbal communication skills, and my talents in project ma
nagement.
- Taking the volunteers vision of building a bridge between the current generati
on of financial service professional and the future generation of financial serv
ice professional, I helped create the University Partners Program. Starting fro
m scratch, this program now involves more than 20 of the nations leading busines
s colleges and universities in the program with almost a hundred college profess
ors and several hundred students as new members of the FSP.
- Managed and marketed the FSPs American Business Ethics Award program. This pr
ogram recognizes American businesses each year for their commitment to corporate
ethics. In 2008, we grew the number of corporate entries by over 10% which dra
matically increased the competition among companies for this prestigious award.
This was accomplished through constant contact, relationship building, and enco
uragement of members and volunteers to nominate deserving companies.
- As the staff leader of the Financial Service Forum, one of the largest estate
and financial meetings of its kind, I strategized, developed, and marketed this
meeting to various stakeholder groups. Through my contact and cultivation of fi
nancial service corporations we were able to increase attendance in 2008 by 33%
and increase gross meeting revenues by $250,000.

As a member of the FSPs senior management team, I led a staff of 8 people in dir
ecting and managing membership and chapter development, and the meetings and tra
vel functions at the FSP. Our divisional budgetary responsibilities accounted f
or 70% of the FSP entire budget, and exceeded 5 million dollars per year. My ma
nagement responsibilities included maintaining strong individual and chapter rel
ationships, the support and coordination of numerous national committees and the
FSPs Board of Directors. Accomplishments included:
- Grew membership to an all time high of 36,000 members.
- Managed and produced 5 extremely successful Financial Service Forum meetings t
hat served 10,000 individuals and netted over 2 million dollars of revenue for t
he FSP.
- Organized, developed and managed the PACE program, a professional CE re-certif
ication program for CLUs and ChFCs. Program grew to over 15,000 people. Throug
h work with state insurance regulators we gained acceptance in 19 states of PACE
compliance as satisfaction of state CIE requirements.
- Organized, marketed and developed the FSPs Professional Interest Section progr
am. Over 25,000 FSP members are participating in one of more of the FSPs 9 Sect
ion specialty areas that adds $200,000 of net revenue to FSP each year.
- Developed and delivered over 20 years of Chapter volunteer leadership training
for FSP that impacted the leadership skills of several thousand FSP volunteers.
I have personally coached several hundred volunteer leaders during my career.
Created the Circle of Chapter Success program that serves as the foundation of
all FSP training initiatives and the Excellence in Chapter Achievement program t
hat recognizes chapters for their exemplary performance.
