20M tax savings through negotiating the final structure of the new company.

bit Network, TeleCheck, Western Union, and other subsidiaries. This includes th
e "digital finger print" technology licensed to numerous on-line companies and d
ebit networks today, saving millions of dollars in Internet fraud per year, as w
ell as, a lucrative royalty revenue stream received by First Data. Purchased ov
er 30 patents in a fraud patent portfolio of 100+ patents valued in excess of $5
00M.
* Consolidated the check acceptance market for the TeleCheck subsidiary by succe
ssfully negotiating the acquisition of 3 of the top 5 competitors. Acquired the
assets of the third largest company in the market, International Check Services
, in a bankruptcy filing for approximately a 40% discount on asset valuation and
saved TeleCheck over $30M in purchase price. In addition, $7M in synergies was
realized after completion through reducing operating expenses from consolidatin
g operations and utilizing best practices.
* Acquired the assets of a collection company with $25M in annual revenue and a
superior collection system for large national accounts. Negotiated a purchase p
rice $9M less than the offering price and achieved $3M in operating savings from
consolidating the collection departments into existing locations. Improved the
reporting capabilities of the current collection system as requested by WalMart
and Home Depot, which resulted in contract renewals with both customers.
* Acquired the majority ownership in the assets of a $20M company in Brazil to s
upport the Latin America expansion strategy for both the Western Union and TeleC
heck subsidiaries. Increased the revenue in the region by $5M annually.
