1971 1977 American Can Company (Dixie Cup Manufacturing) As an hourly employee
completing section mechanic training one month ahead of class and exhibiting the
desire and ability to manage personnel, I was given the opportunity to join Man
agement as a Manufacturing Associate. While a part of the Associate Program I co
ntinued my education and still excelled in all my positions, being groomed for P
roduction Superintendent Position.
Section Maintenance Mechanic led all shifts with Minimal Equipment Downtime & H
ighest Quality Rating.
Maintenance Shift Supervisor started Preventive Maintenance Program, rotating e
quipment for downtime PM, increasing production by reducing equipment breakdowns
.
Plant Waste Coordinator reduced waste by 3% Plant wide by properly training for
k lift operators, educating work force to be aware of waste costs & how to reduc
e same.
Shipping & Receiving Warehouse Shift Supervisor learned material handling, ship
ping and receiving procedures.
Production Department Shift Supervisor reduced absenteeism while increasing pro

1977 1980 Thompson Industries (Injection Molding Styrofoam Cup Manufacturing) A
s Plant Manager recruited & hired Maintenance Engineer, Production Manager and Q
uality Control Manager. Facility was awarded most improved, leading 13 manufactu
ring plants in fewest Quality Complaints, Lowest Overtime and Lowest Machine Dow
ntime. Promoted to Larger Facility as Plant Manager in Stone Mountain, Georgia
1980 1982 Thompson Industries Plant Manager of older facility in need of new eq
uipment, new maintenance personnel and a change of attitude. New Equipment, Pers
onnel and Training moved plant into top five performers. Promoted to East Coast
Director of Manufacturing
1982 1984 Thompson Industries East Coast Director of Manufacturing, responsible
for four manufacturing facilities, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana and New Jersey.
Received Most Improved Region Award. Founded Auto Clinic
1984 2007 Owner C & C AUTO CLINIC, INC Started Automotive Repair Facility based
on management experience and love of automotive. Began in a leased 3,500 sq ft
building with two mechanics, a parts runner and myself on the counter. Evolved i
nto a one acre 12,000 sq ft solely owned business employing one General Manager,
one ASE Certified Service Advisor, three ASE Certified Technicians, one Porter/
Clean up and one General Office employee. Consumer friendly, clean, safe environ
ment, not your standard public perception of an automotive repair facility. Loya
l Customer base built on trust to perform only the necessary repairs and done ri
ght the first time. Less than 100% is not accepted from technicians, high expect
ations of labor hours per technician with no comebacks. Repair Customer Complain
t foremost, sell additional needed service and recommend future Preventive Maint
enance. On going training & certification of techs and service advisor with equi

1987 1989 Downey Auto Stores Operations Manager hired to meet new challenges fr
om Advance Auto Parts and Auto Zone. Implemented corporate policies & procedures
. Reduced/ eliminated slow moving inventory. Installed systems to identify re-or
der points keeping store inventory levels at just in time. Established inner sto
re system to identify needed product from one store to another. Trained & develo
ped Managers to recognize potential problems and correct them before becoming ma
jor problems. Reduced manning hours & absenteeism by scheduling for peak periods
and proper training of counter personnel. Developed Store Manager Program to in
itiate increased commercial sales. Improved delivery to commercial accounts, emp
hasizing On Time Delivery. Customer service issues addressed & corrected regaine
d lost commercial accounts. Established service & technician standards for servi
ce centers. Clean, Knowledgeable, no come backs. Developed service menus, target
ed at light, quick, profitable repairs & installation. Negotiated property lease

emented grass roots E.T. Bracket Drag Racing Program at Atlanta Drag way. Captur

able and company changed hands. Expanded C & C Auto Clinic, Inc to include Muscl
e Car Restoration
2001 2007 Owner C & C AUTO CLINIC, INC Muscle Car Restorations, Sales, Service,
Repairs Assist, guide, train customers in appraisals, verification of originali
ty, locate, purchase and resale of Classic and Muscle Cars. Experienced with Geo
rgia DMV Title, Registration and Certification of Inspection Procedures. Complet
e restoration from body off to minor mechanical upgrades and services. Short tim
e (6 years) we have become a trusted full service facility, capable of turning o
ut the ultimate show car to the daily driver in an affordable and timely manner.
Additional personnel now include; a painter, metal fabricator and body man. The
same commitment to Excellence and Attention to Detail started in 1984 is still
the Standard being applied to the Restoration Business. April 2007 sold business
- stayed on for six (6) months to reorganize and acquire a second business for
new owner.
2007 2008 General Manager R2B2 Motors After buy out accepted temporary position
as General Manager for R2B2 Motors (part of buy out agreement). Consolidated an
d moved two companies into empty run down existing 70s style Dealership building
. Supervised and completed move in, refurbish of service area, from new equipmen
t to re-roof. Business now operational, Department Managers in place and Corpora
te running all financials from satellite location. Purchased restaurant.
2008 2010 Owner Anthonys New York Pizza and Italian Grill. Increased sales by d
iversifying menu, increased efficiency by training servers and organization of k
itchen layout. Sold business April 2010. Founded Gwinnett Tire and Auto.
2010 Present Owner Gwinnett Tire and Auto, tires and automotive repairs. Brough
t back key employees from Auto Clinic and my son Scott to run business.
