Renewed Relationship with God
“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to
the fellowship, and to the breaking of bread, and to
prayer.” (Acts 2:42)
Traveling through Exodus in our “Blueprint”
series has been challenging and encouraging to
those who attend our Sunday morning
gathering. Matt addressed important and
difficult passages including obscure laws,
God’s righteous judgement, and the building of
the Tabernacle in Exodus 21-25. In studying the
obscure laws, we clearly saw God’s desire for
the church to be holy, or set apart, for the
central purpose of being a light to the nations.
Through God’s righteous judgement, we were
encouraged to put our hope and trust in Jesus
who drank the wrath of God’s judgement on
the cross in order to reconcile us to God. The
miniscule details included in the building of the
Ark of the Covenant instructed us to avoid
mishandling the power of God, and to
effectively utilize God’s power. This power is
given fully to us through His Spirit enabling us
to die to ourselves and live for Jesus.
Toby also challenged us one Sunday this month
to live out one of our core values: missional
engagement. Colossians 4 encouraged us to
intentionally engage with those outside the
faith in a wise, diligent, graceful way.

Renewed Relationships With
Each Other
“Everyday they continued to meet together in the temple
courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together
with glad and sincere hearts.” Acts 2:46
New reGroup
This month we launched our sixth small
group! Hugh has been meeting with these new
leaders for the last couple of months, spending time
teaching the theological foundations as to why we
have small groups. This training highlighted that
simply engaging in the spiritual disciplines alone is
not sufficient.  We have the conviction that we need
one another to grow spiritually. This is how we see
believers relating to one another in Scripture, and
we want to emulate that within Renewal’s small
groups.
This group was Hugh’s first that he’s interacted
with from start to finish - from training the new
leaders to the actual birthing of the group. Two
couples are co-leading the group and when the time
comes for their group to birth, one of the couples
will assume the leadership role of the new group.
We have seen these couples lead well at Renewal,
and we thank the Lord for this opportunity to use
their gifts fully.  From God
Renewing Womanhood
Another budding area at Renewal is the Women’s
Ministry!  Sarah, Hollie and Julieann started
meeting last
month and
wrote a mission
statement to
drive the
Women’s
Ministry at
Renewal, as
Elder wives: Sarah, Hollie, & Julieann

look like this coming year.  Women’s ministry at
Renewal exists to equip and encourage Biblical
womanhood and foster Titus 2 discipleship
relationships to the glory of God.  We were so
excited to see our prayer for Women’s Ministry
come to fruition.
The last weekend in March, we had our first
Renewal Women’s Ministry event: Women’s
Brunch!  We
had a
wonderful time
meeting and
getting to
know many of
the women
who have
Women’s Brunch
partnered with
Renewal or are connected to Renewal in some way.  
Several of the small group leaders provided
breakfast casseroles, fresh fruit, coffee, and
beverages, so that these women could come to this
event empty-handed, relax and enjoy an
encouraging time with believers. We had two ladies cards, notes of encouragement, and treats. The bags

Boston, MA - Redemption Hill
During March, Renewal was thrilled to see how
God worked in the trip to Boston. The team was
able to help promote the start of Redemption Hill
Church. As a new church plant, Renewal partners
were sensitive to the ways of reaching out to the
community and understood how to go about this.
