, U.S.A
Major: Chemical Engineering
Relevant Courses: Transport Phenomena, Mathematic Method in Chemical Engineering
, Fluid Dynamics, Polymer Science & Engineering, Polymer Techniques, Process Con
trol, Environmental Chemistry & Analysis, Drug Delivery.

Tamkang University
Bachelor of Engineering, 09/2001 ~ 06/2005 T
aipei, Taiwan
Major: Chemical and Material Engineering
Work and Research Experience:
Department of Physics and Department of Biomedical and Chemical Engineering, Syr
acuse University
Project of Fluid Mechanics on Biology(Selforganizing
ciliary beating and its control in Chlamydomonas) , 05/2009 ~ 05/2010 (with Dr.
Ashok S. Sangani and Dr. Kenneth. Foster)
* Measured the translational and rotational velocity of Chlamydomonas reinhardti
i with stiff cilia and predicted correctly the hydrodynamic force acting on the
cell body and effective mastigonemes length.
* Operated a high resolution CCD camera with EDC-1000M software to track the ori
entation of cilium with its horizontal and vertical displacements.
* Utilized AutoCAD to Design and fabricate special chamber for the experiment.
Department of Chemical and Material Engineering, Tamkang University
Project of Production of Titanium Dioxide Thin Film, 09/2004 ~ 05/2005
* Used liquid phase deposition to prepare the TiO2, first introducing an (NH4)2[
TiF6] solution into an H3BO3 solution, then placing a conductive ITO glass slide
that had been washed in anionic water into the reactive solution and leaving it
to settle for about 50 hours at room temperature. Through this, a film of TiO2
will form on the slide.
* Studied titanium dioxide combined with specific wavelengths of ultraviolet lig
ht proved effective in the removal of contaminants.
Additional Experience:
Department of Biomedical and Chemical Engineering, Syracuse University
Teaching Assistant for Methods of Analysis (A course on Advanced Mathematics)
, 09/2009 ~ 12/2009
* Clarified doubts of students on Linear and Non linear Ordinary Differential Eq
uations (ODE), Partial Differential Equations (PDE), Matrices, Perturbation Anal
ysis.
* Programmed MATLAB to solve ODE, PDE, Laplace equation and problems on applicat
ion of fluid dynamics.
Lab work for Polymer Technique course
* Operated bulk polymerization, bulk condensation polymerization and emulsion po
lymerization.
* Utilized gel-permeation chromatography (GPC), dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA
), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA
) to analyze physical property of different polymer that are made in former synt
hesis.
Lab work for Environmental Chemistry and Analysis course
* Analyzed alkalinity of Onondaga Lake tributaries and recognized carbonate syst
em is necessary for all biological system.
Leadership:
Military Police of R.O.C. Army
Corporal, 09/2005 - 01/2007, Taipei, Taiwan
* Assigned soldiers to maintain Taipei SongSang Airport security.
* Guarded officer with their entrance and departing.
Students' Association of College of Engineering, Tamkang University
Class Vice-Representative, 09/2001 ~ 06/2003, Taipei, Taiwan
* Responsible for preparation and execution of new students' orientation event.
