EXPERIENCE
Quality Manager Cedar Rapids Iowa 2007 - 2010
This company serves many companies within the U.S. as well as overseas. These c
ompanies require suppliers for light steel manufacturing of parts like brackets,
plates, and covers as examples for farming and road construction.
* East Moline Metal Products Co. 2007 to 2010
o I assisted engineering with the introduction of new products, where capability
needed to be evaluated prior to releasing the bid to the customer.
o I assisted in upholding Customer standards with sub-contract suppliers for the
company, which included proper packaging of parts to prevent damage during tran
sportation.
o I negotiated customer change is quality standards and provided instructions to
the factory to prevent factory mistakes.

personnel to add strength in the inspection area. This was accomplished by tra
ining, coaching, mentoring, and trouble shooting for root cause on customer note
d complaints.
o I was responsible for passing three ISO survey audits and six customer audits
for maintaining a Quality system and internal manufacturing capabilities. This
prevented the company from closing the doors during a very difficult economy tur
n down.
o I provided guidance with receiving personnel on quality issues with receiving
parts from our suppliers. This required setting up an inspection process for su
bcontract and all incoming purchased material.
o I was assigned the task to resolve a company accounts payable and receivable i
ssue with our customers return and shipped material. We discovered at each cust
omer facility there was a different road block to overcome the payment discrepan
cy.

le questions about the interpretation of the quality standards.
o I assisted in changing the paint process by training paint quality standards t
o the paint associates. I assisted the paint process by helping improve the cle
aning & curing process in two facilities for a powder and wet paint process. Th
is process was causing delays and customer rejects. Estimated savings for the f
irst year after this fix was $150,000.00.
o I was part of the management support for cellular type process in two types of
business. This required the use of lean manufacturing and building a team atmo
sphere with cross training on all shifts. This allowed the company to accept a
one million dollar contract for the railroad industry.
