Support Group Lead 2010-Present
Provide strategic leadership and direction to a 10-person support team, which in
cludes handling of budget and cash management, financial control and audits, mon
thly reporting and variance analysis, along with Solomon data collection and ana
lysis. Serve as an advisor for the refinery leadership team; work collaborativel
y with auditors during the financial reporting process; identify and oversee, as
well as, implement process improvements to provide scalability.
- Assumed the role of a financial steward for a $56M mechanical business p
lan; assumed full responsibility in managing mechanical infrastructures and fina
ncial tools that include work order system, contractor data management system, a
nd rental equipment infrastructures.
- Identified key issues and implemented improvement to traditional procure
ment process by streamlining purchase order procedures and communicating new gui
delines to all refinery vendors and their role in the process to align timely pa
