Lead the daily management of the Toyota Interiors Department, directing a team o
f 6 high-caliber professionals and providing direct oversight for the design of
interior vehicle components to address major and minor vehicle design changes in
volving door panels, armrests, headliners, carpet and floor systems, and energy
absorption pads, within a high-volume production environment. Disseminate custom
er's design/appearance requirements, spearheading each phase of projects and act

* Sourced a local trim supplier and performed rigorous value engineering and val
ue added testing to eliminate the costs of a Japanese supplier. As a result, pro
fits are on track to increase by $1.2 million annually.
* Reduced labor costs and improved quality output through the development of pro
duct designs that allowed total robotic assembly cells requiring minimal operato
