Awards Luncheon to Honor Importance of Small Business Ownership

On Thursday, June 9, the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce will partner wit
h the U.S. Small Business Administration and ESET to celebrate the accomplishmen
ts of small and micro businesses at the 2011 Small Business Awards and Business
Exchange. Finalist will be honored and award winners will be announced live duri
ng a luncheon at the Town and Country Resort & Convention Center.
San Diego, CA, June 02, 2011 -- On Thursday, June 9, the San Diego Regional Cham
ber of Commerce will partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration and ESE
T to celebrate the accomplishments of small and micro businesses at the 2011 Sma
ll Business Awards and Business Exchange. Finalist will be honored and award win
ners will be announced live during a luncheon at the Town and Country Resort & C
onvention Center.
“We couldn’t be prouder of all of our applicants and small business members,” said Rub
en Barrales, Chamber president and CEO. “It’s not easy being a small business in tod
ay’s economy. Through hard work and innovation, these businesses have managed to t
hrive and contribute to the commercial prosperity of our community.”
Prior to the Awards Luncheon, the Chamber will host the Business Exchange, a spe
ed networking event where participants will have one-on-one face time with up to
100 other companies to exchange ideas and share their latest products and servi
ces. These companies will then be featured in a mini expo for the more than 800
attendees expected to attend the luncheon.
“The Business exchange is not your average networking event,” said Doug Holman, Cham
ber vice president of membership. “It is fast-paced, interactive, and an extremely
effective way to make quality connections and maximize visibility within the lo
cal business community.”
The Business Exchange will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and the Award
s Luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Individual tickets for the Small Busines
s Awards are $65 and $499 for a table of eight, which includes a tabletop exhibi
t at the Business Exchange. The Business Exchange is $250 for a tabletop exhibit
, and includes two tickets to the luncheon.
Both the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce and the San Diego chapter of the
U.S. Small Business Administration will present awards recognizing outstanding
achievement by local small and micro businesses.
