The Fund was dedicated to capital appreciation while emphasizing preservation of capital. - SAI used a synthesis of fundamental and technical analysis, and all investments were subject to strict trading disciplines or order to reduce risk and protect against loss. For example, prior to the market crash in 1987, SAI moved ICF from a 90% investment in equities to 25%.
