SECURITIES ASSOCIATES, INC. (SAI) - 1984 - PRESENT
EXECUTIVE V. P., CHIEF FINANCIAL, OPERATING & COMPLIANCE OFFICER
- Member of Investment Committee assisted in management of
investments for high-net worth individuals and a $25MM Investment
Limited Partnership, Investors Capital Fund, L.P.(ICF), on a
discretionary
basis. The Fund was dedicated to capital appreciation while
emphasizing
preservation of capital.
- SAI used a synthesis of fundamental and technical analysis, and
all
investments were subject to strict trading disciplines or order to
reduce
risk and protect against loss. For example, prior to the market
crash in
1987, SAI moved ICF from a 90% investment in equities to 25%.
After the crash many public mutual funds were down 50% while ICF
was up 10%.
- Prior to the current financial crisis, ICF had a gross return
since its
inception in June of 1982 through 12/31/07 of 9.63% ( 7.65% net).
For the five years ended 12/31/09 ICF had a compounded net
return of 5.7% compared to the S & P 500's 2.1% with income
reinvested.

- Publisher of audio-visual materials for schools and colleges.
- Had overall responsibility for accounting, operations, personnel,
payroll
and budgeting in conjunction with editorial and marketing.
- Made acquisitions, obtained and developed office space and
directed
the relocation of offices and warehouse.
- Responsible for banking relations and consummation of financing.
- Responsible for conceptualization and implementation of an
on-line,
real-time, interrelated and integrated computer system, prior to the
PC,
which was successfully implemented on time and on budget.
- Sales and profits increased in a steady fashion during my
employment.
