Lead Senior Buyer for prototype and production mechanical parts for the new P-2
00 Robot for automotive and truck painting. Prototype and Production parts were
delivered on-time to the production floor.
Lead Senior Buyer for 15% cost down P-200 project of 2002. The P200 Robot was
the main automotive paint spraying robot in production for a ten year span (1996
-2005).
Lead Senior Buyer for the new G-250 Gantry Robot for the material transfer of m
ultiple transmission parts for GM Windsor. Received a Fanuc Incentive award for
innovative cost savings extruded aluminum solution from Kaiser Aluminum for the
forearm assembly which was previously a higher cost and longer lead time fabrica
tion.
Achieved an average of 9% cost savings for an average yearly spend of $8 millio
n in the years spanning 2000-2004.
Specialized in finding and developing new suppliers and cutting edge manufactur
ing processes suppliers such as extruded aluminum details, metal stampings, and
resin transfer molded parts.
Responsible for implantation of the cost down P200 Wrist Kits, which were previ
ously all planned, quoted, bought, received, stocked, invoiced & paid for as ove
r 100 loose parts. Kit assemblies of gears, bearings and machined parts reduced
the quantities of part to four kits.
This process was duplicated on two additional P200 gear axis kits with returnabl
e dunnage.
The plastic, molded dunnage was also easier to stack and transfer to the manufac
turing floor and reduced the damage during transit from the supplier to Fanuc. A
ssembly time was also reduced due to all the different axis gears being in one t
ray for each assembly.
Responsible for new product development projects, while assisting in EOQ manage
ment and creation of long-term contracts.

spur and helical gears on multiple robot platforms.

transfer of the largest machining supplier for the P-150 Paint Spraying Robot,
which included machined castings, seven different axis of mechanical assemblies
for the auto and truck body rail version and six different axis of mechanical as
semblies for the front and rear fascia versions with drop shipped supplied strai
ght bevel, spur, helical and rack gears, and bearings.
