 MANUAL FOR PREPARATION OF PROJECT REPORT

1. NUMBER OF COPIES TO BE SUBMITTED FOR EVALUATION:

----- Three copies are to be submitted to the Department

2. SIZE OF THESIS:

The size of thesis should not exceed 200 Pages of typed matter reckoned
from the first page of Chapter 1 to the last page of the Report

3. ARRANGEMENT OF CONTENTS OF REPORT:

The sequence in which the thesis material should be arranged and bound
should be as follows:

2. Certificate
3. Acknowledgement
4. Preface
5. Table of Contents
6. Objective & Scope of the Project.
7. Theoretical Background
8. Definition of Problem
9. System Analysis & Design and User Requirements
10. Methodology adopted, System Implementation & Details of Hardware &
Software used
11. ERD, DFD
12. Input and Output Screen Design
13. coding ( for one module)
14. Snapshots of user interface screen and results

4. PAGE DIMENSIONS AND MARGIN:

The Report (at the time of submission) should have the following page
margins:

Top edge : 1 inch

Bottom edge : 1 inch
Left side : 1.5 inch
 Right side : 1.5 inch

1. Cover Page & Title Page-A specimen copy of the Cover page & Title page for
report are given.I.

2. Certificate- The Certificate shall be in double line spacing using Font Style
Times New Roman Font Size 14, as per the format shown

3. Acknowledgement- The Acknowledgement shall be brief and should not

exceed one page when typed in double spacing. The scholar’s signature shall
be made at the bottom end above his./ her name typed in capitals.

4. Preface- It should be an essay type of narration not exceeding two pages

outlining the research problem & the methodology used, when typed double
line spacing, font Style Times New Roman and Font Size 14.

5. Table of contents- The table of contents should list all material following
it with page numbers.

6. Introduction - This should reflect the following things-

i) Motivation and background
ii) Scope of the project

7. Analysis
- Analysis of the existing methods
- Proposed Solution

8. Design: ER-diagrams/DFD/Flow-charts/Algorithms

9. Coding : Source code of at least one module
