Area Wise Activities

Project Management (General for whole Plant):

 Documentation of all drawings with Client as well as Contractor side.

 Follow MDL and Construction Schedules, find out discrepancy and resolve it.
 Planning for execution in commit time.
 Value added meetings with Clients as well as Contractors to resolve the issues for
executions.
 Vendor development as per site requirement.
 Follow up for all the drawings as per Construction Schedule with Consultants.

SITE ACTIVITIES

 SITE PLANNING: To plan site activities by estimating, scheduling and co-coordinating

with the order processor in order to mobilize resources at the site as per planned
schedules.
 RESOURCE PLANNING & IMPLEMENTATION: Mobilize resources by coordinating with
vendors / contractors / corp.depts, estimating costing of resources and ensuring
availability of the same at the site, in order to commence the site work as per planned
schedule.
 SITE SUPERVISION: Supervise overall activities at site - design, installation and
commissioning of projects with specific focus on sub-contractor management and
adherence to safe working procedures in order to effectively complete contracts on time
and in a safe manner.

MONITOR & CONTROL: Maintain statistics pertaining to site work, periodically review,
report and evaluate performance of contractors, in order to ensure timely project
execution.

RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT: Develop and maintain good relations with working
partners of customers, government authorities, update information on working
procedures, competitors’ operation and disseminate it to internal partners in order to
enhance the processes at site.

Coal Handling Plant:

 Erection and Commissioning of HT Panels include Drives Panel, Trafo Panels, CICO Panels

 Geo-Tech survey for all BOP packages like Switchyard, Chimney, Cooling Tower, Raw

through Client to Sub Contractor.
 Technical Meetings with Sub Contractors.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT (Essar Engineering Services Ltd)

Engineering Section:

 Basic and Detail Engineering as per packages of various Trunkey Projects with in Essar
Group and Outside the Essar Group.

 Analysis of over all Project and prepare further designing of Power Distribution Scheme
(In Auto Cad) with load calculations, Cost Estimation and prepare report.

 Make Technical Specifications, Technical recommendations for Transformers, Motors,

Cables, Illumination, Earthing, and Lighting Protection, Cable Trays, DG Set , HT and LT
switch Gears, Battery and Battery Chargers, Termination and Joint kits, LDB JB’s, VVF AC
Drives, Soft Starters , NGR, Bus-duct etc.

 In Designing prepare control scheme as per applications, AI/O’s or DI/O’s selection,

Review Process Flow Diagram and P&ID’s, ECR layouts, Cable Schedule, Cable Routing,
Cable Tray Layout etc.

 Co-ordination with other Departments regularly for regular flow of Engineering. Prepare all
the Document list which have to submit to Client or

 Coordination with Vendor’s as well as purchase department.

 Vendor’s Development.

 Tendering the Projects outside the Essar Group.

 Standardization of all Electrical Equipments in a standard specification format to make

Umbrella Contract with Standard and reputed Vendors for 2 year Contract with Essar
Group.

Erection and Commissioning:

 Work in EPC Projects Erection and Commissioning of Raw Material Handling Plant which
Includes Commissioning of Weigh and Belt Conveyors, Vibro Feeders , VVF Drives ( ACS-
800 and Siemens Micro Master 440 AC Drives) etc

Projects in ESSAR (HAZIRA)

 Erection and Commissioning of Material Handling Plant (Belt Feeder, Weigh Feeder, Screen
House, Conveyers, etc

 Basic and Detailed Engineering of 4.1 MPTA Pellet Plant in ESSAR MINNESOTA LLC , USA
 (Balling Building, Indurations, Material Handling, Bin and Mixing Unit , Loading System,
Hearth Layer, Utility , Slurry Handling Unit etc) as per American Standards.

 Power load calculation and distribution scheme for ESSAR MINISOTA STEEL LLC. Coordination
with Naswaq Power Minnesota, USA.
