Genuine Absinthe Drip


Pour 1.5 oz of absinthe in a drip glass or old fashioned cocktail glass, placing
a cube of sugar in a drip spoon and pour cold water to fill. Wait until the wat
er has dripped through before drinking.
The Absinthe Cocktail
1.5 oz absinthe, .75 oz water, .25 oz anisette, 1 dash orange bitters.
The Absinthe Special Cocktail
1.5 oz absinthe, 1 oz water, .25 teaspoon powdered sugar, 1 dash orange bitters.
The Knock Out
Mix .75 oz dry gin, .75 oz dry vermouth, .5 oz absinthe, 1 teaspoon white "crème d
e menthe".
Bombay Cocktail
1 oz Brandy, .5 oz dry vermouth, .5 oz Sweet Vermouth, .5 teaspoon curaçao, .25 te
aspoon absinthe.
Jeyplak
1.5 oz dry gin, .75 oz sweet vermouth, .25 teaspoon absinthe.
The Ladies' Cocktail
1.75 oz whiskey, .5 teaspoon absinthe, .5 teaspoon anisette, 2 dashes bitters.
Brazil Cocktail
1.25 oz sherry wine, 1.25 oz dry vermouth, .25 teaspoon absinthe, 1 dash bitters

White of one egg, 1 teaspoon absinthe, 1 teaspoon sweet cream, 1.5 oz dry gin.
New Orleans Dixie Cocktail
Juice of 1/4 orange, 1 oz dry gin, .5 oz absinthe, .5 oz dry vermouth.
Du Barry
1.5 oz Dry Gin, .75 oz dry vermouth.
The Lawhill
1.5 oz whiskey. .75 dry vermouth. .25 teaspoon absinthe, .25 teaspoon maraschino
, 1 dash bitters.
Other cocktails are more elaborated or simple but equally tasteful which include
these recipes:
Absinthe Drinker
1 shot absinthe, matches, still water, 1 teaspoon caster sugar.
Pour a shot of absinthe into drip glass or old fashioned cocktail glass. Dip a t
easpoon of sugar into absinthe until soaked. Light the teaspoon and then stir ca
ramelizing sugar into absinthe, then lighting the glass. Extinguish glass by top
ping off with chilled water.
Sweaty Bollock
1 shots tequila, 1 shot white rum, 3 shots absinthe, advocate.
Get a 1 pint glass and fill half way with crushed ice. Add one shot of tequila.
Shake well, then add one shot of white rum and shake again, End with three shots
of absinthe. Light the cocktail with a lighter to burn it quickly. Extinguish t
he flames and add a pinch of lemon juice and a hint of nutmeg.
Royal Absinthe Fizz
1 shot absinthe, 1 glass champagne.
Pour the shot of absinthe into a champagne flute and top up with more champagne.
Momisette
3 shots absinthe, 1/2 shot orgeat syrup, chilled still water.
Mix grenadine and absinthe together in a tumbler or old fashioned glass. Add ice
cubes and top up with chilled water.
Green Heather
Half a shot of baileys, half a shot absinthe, 1 shot whiskey.
Layer in order in double shot glass baileys, whiskey and then absinthe.
Stonesy Slam
10 ml grenadine, 20 ml sambuca, 15 ml "crème de menthe", 15 ml bols blue, 10 ml ab
sinthe.
Pour in a cocktail glass, layers of grenadine first, then sambuca, then creme de
menth, then bols blue, last absinthe. By following the procedure correctly, all
ingredients should be separate and the appearance will be red the first layer,
clear the second, green the third, blue the forth and pale green the fifth layer
