I also call your attention to a testimony by a

Episcopalian whose journey to Catholicism
was inspired by an amazing Friar, Father
Raymond Smith, O.P. She describes him
beautifully as “a scholar in flowing white

As most of you know, you have access to the,
if you will, living record of the Friars’ lives
and work on our website. New items are
added almost everyday and cover the gamut
of the Order’s apostolate exercised in the
form of prayer, worship, study and preaching
and made accessible in writings and talks, on
radio and video. If you haven’t already done
so, please sign up to receive our email alerts
notifying you each time a new posting has
been added. (It’s easy, just send us your
email address when prompted upon first
visiting the website.)

You, our dear friends, make all these

wonderful initiatives possible. We are your
agents. On a daily basis, your generous
encouragement spurs us to work and fight
hard to be loyal to our vows and do our
utmost to fulfill our obligations to you, our
communities, and the Church at large. Thank
you for this chance to report back to you on
the great works all of us stand shoulder-to-
shoulder in accomplishing.

Wishing you a blessed Thanksgiving and a

joyful time with your loved ones, I am
