good OEI she has been awarded severe displeasure for a conduct in which she was not
involved.
3. Belongingness needs: Her belongingness needs are not fulfilled as :-
a. She can’t take care of her father who is a patient of Hepatitis C and lives in
Lahore. She wants to take care of him but cannot do that in a good manner as she
has other commitments and her father cannot visit her much often.
b. She can’t concentrate on her profession because she is taking care of her mother
in law as well. She is a patient of CVA and needs her attention at night. She is
reluctant to perform the duties at night as well due to same reason.

facilitated in this regards and her night calls should be excused as a good will to
promote her belongingness needs.

feel isolated and can also be easily contacted after office hours.
6. Official Dinners : she should be called on official dinners with her spouse so that
her belongingness needs are fulfilled.
7. Leave Policy : Leave policy for this doctor should be relaxed so she can occasionally
visit her father who is a patient of hep C ,resides in Lahore and cannot visit her due to
his commitments.

Conclusion
Maslow hierarchy of needs defines the level of needs in a hierarchal fashion. It says
that one level of need, if not fulfilled, cannot be bypassed. Once the need is satisfied,
it is no more a need. In this scenario, if we take care of the safety needs,
belongingness needs and esteem needs of this lady ,we can motivate her to continue
her job efficiently. So by taking little considerate measures we can increase the
productivity of this employee and also keep her motivated.
