Nationalist Breifing Army of the Center [General Andrs Saliquet Zumeta], Army of the Center will stand on the

defensive around Madrid while the Army of the North completes its campaign in the North. Recent activity suggests possible attack by the Republican forces, especially in the sector of 14th Division and more uncertainly in the north in the sector of 71st or 11th Divisons, but there are indications of armoured forces. However all other forces should be on the alert for enemy activity. A reserve force equivalnent to a brigade should be held by each Divison to respond to any such assault. A provisional Division to command these reserves will be formed by Colonel Jos Asensio Cabanillas should these forces and other support forces assigned to it by Army HQ. Army will be able to draw on the newly activated 108th and 150th Divisons should enemy attack prove to be a large and determined one. Additional forces particularly aircraft of the Condor Legion and the 4th and 5th Navara Brigades may be diverted from the Northern army should the situation be judged critical.
