Flat-bottomed silos The cylinder is made of FeE350G structural steel sheets with Sendzimir 350 g/m2 galvanisation guaranteeing

long-term resistance to atmospheric agents. The structure is reinforced externally by pressed sheet metal with variable thickness and section.

The sheet metal and uprights are assembled by means of ultra-strong bolts, Dacromet treated to prevent corrosion.

Infiltration of water into the sheet metal joints is prevented by the fitting of long-lasting plastic joints.

The roof consists of trapezoidal elements made of galvanised sheet steel with reinforcing ribs to withstand loads due to snow, transport systems and inspection gangways.

The roof has a slope of 25 and 30 and is raised from the cylinder by approximately 40 mm to permit the circulation of air by convection and reduce condensation.

The silo is supplied as standard with the following accessories:

- roof hatch for control of the cereal stored in the silo - manhole on the second section for access of maintenance personnel when the silo is empty - bird net to be fitted between roof and last section

The following accessories are supplied on request, according to plant requirements:

- maximum and minimum level indicators - vertical ladder with protections and anchoring devices - ladder on silo roof with sides - aerial gangways for loading conveyor support and inspection - gangway supporting portals

- gangway descent equipment - motorised air extractors - supports for temperature control cables - thermometric systems - ventilation systems - rotating extractors for emptying residual cone ALUZINC ROOFS

On customer request, ALUZINC is the material we use for constructing our roofs. Why do we choose aluzinc? Aluzinc is a cold-rolled steel section with a metal coating consisting mainly of an alloy of aluminium (55%), zinc (43.4%) and silicon (1.6%) that guarantees excellent resistance to corrosion; in addition, the zinc ensures cathodic protection on cut edges and surface scoring. The roof is undoubtedly the part of the silo most exposed to bad weather, hence we believe it needs to be made of a material which is extremely resistant to corrosion (comparable to stainless steel) and which does not undergo any change in its surface appearance, even at high temperatur (up to 310). In this es way the anticorrosion characteristics of zinc are combined with those of aluminium, which cannot be attacked by external agents, creating a product with exceptional resistance also to particularly aggressive environments. Aluzinc enables us to manufacture products that last 2 to 6 times as long as those produced using traditional galvanisation methods, in fact aluzinc has demonstrated corrosion rates twice as low as galvanised sheet metal in marine environments, 4 times lower in strong saline environments and 6 times lower in industrial environments. In addition, aluzinc maintains its surface appearance in the long term and is not subject to the blackening typical of galvanised sheet metal. SCREWS

The metal sheets and uprights are assembled by means of high mechanical strength bolts with Dacromet treatment to prevent corrosion. SHEET METAL

The sheet metal used is made of structural steel S350GD-EN 1047-91 with Sendzmir hot-dip galvanisation GZ350-450 g/m_ which guarantees long-term resistance to atmospheric agents. BIRD NET

MULMIX leaves a space of approximately 4-5 cm between the roof and the last section for ventilation of the product in order to prevent condensation forming inside; to stop birds getting inside and damaging the product contained, the silo is provided with a circumferential bird net. CHANNEL VENTILATION SYSTEM

This system is of the fixed type and is used mainly in new silos or warehouses as it requires channels with constant section laid on the floor for passage of the air. The channel is closed by galvanised perforated elements which can be removed for cleaning the channels but are connected to each other to prevent movement. These elements are available in the lorry-resistant model for warehouses and in the model for circular metal silos. Both feature diagonal slits in the flat part to allow air through but prevent the cereal dropping into the channel. PLATFORM VENTILATION SYSTEM

Used in circular metal silos. A micro-stretched galvanised metal sheet is anchored to the wall of the silo and rested on a structure generally made of concrete blocks. TUNNEL VENTILATION SYSTEM

Made of modular ducts in micro-perforated galvanised sheet metal, it is used mainly in flat-bottomed warehouses. The particular shape and profile of the duct ensures sturdiness and non-deformability. DIN STANDARDS

Our silos are calculated according to the DIN 1055f6 standard published in May 1997.

This standard takes into account cereal with absolute weight 0.96 t/m_ and assesses the variou s loading and unloading conditions, adopting appropriate safety coefficients.

The silos calculated according to this standard, which is more stringent than others, guarantee greater structural safety.

2-)Geotechnical soil report should be carried out , in case of inadequacy of the geotechnical soil report; the soil should be reclaimed in carried out compaction test until obtaining the ratio of min 95% under the concultancy of a local civil engineer. 3-) Should foundation Project that is provided by B RS LO, does not meet the obtained values, dimensioning should be carried out by calculating anew ( or enlarging the sections, choosing pile work foundation). 4-) Construction site should be reclaimed, compacted with a roller and piped of waste water. 5-) The employed construction material such as iron, cement, steel profile should be protected from detrimental factors such as rain , moisture .the materials should be covered and raised out of contact from the ground by placing or supporting wood roll under. Never forget that oil, soil and rust may endanger quality of iron, concrete and foundation. 6-) Samples of employed iron and concrete should be obtained and tension and pressure experiment of them should be carried out. Then the values of values tension and pressure experiment should be provided and evaluated anew. In case of inadequateness, the slo concrete Project should be re-prepared by choosing higher quality material. 7-) Never forget that failure of formwork, iron and concrete may endanger the safety of employee, unqualified persons and structure around the silo and grain inside silo. If need be, the silo should be pulled down and re-installed. 8-)

B RS LO offers you the Grain Storage Systems which are consist of Grain Bins and storage silos, handling equipment, monitoring systems, aeration systems and automation systems. All these Grain Bins are designed and manufactured to serve you for a life without problem and economically. There 4 kinds of Grain Bins * Farm type flat bottom Storage Silos * Commercial type flat bottom Storage Silos * Farm type hopper bottom storage silos/bins * Commercial Type Hopper bottom Storage silos/bins All B RS LO silos are designed according to the specifications and standards given below. - Dynamic analysis of the silo structural system is done according to the seismic and soil conditions of the area which the silos will be installed . -Snow load is calculated according to conditions of the area which the silos will be installed. Wind load is calculated according to the height of the silo especially for the empty case of silo. Static and dynamical analysis of the silo is done for the case of 25C temperature change Static and dynamical analysis of the silo is done according to the vertical and horizontal load of grain. After the designing with CAD-CAM programs, the silos are manufactured with CNC controlled machines, quality control is done by the quality control department. Silos with all accessories are manufactured from 450gr/m2(G140) hot dip galvanized, high tensile strength steel sheets. The strength of the steel is 450 Mpa. The steel used for silo manufacturing is in S390GD+Z450 standards and have the analysis certificates. The side wall sheets are chromate coated besides the galvanize coating. This chromate coating protects the galvanize coating from the harmful effects of the handling, carrying and storage.

The roof of the silos have a 30 degrees slope angle. This angle is nearly 2 degrees less than the filling angle of the grain. By this difference, there would be no grain load at the roof either the silo is full to its top. And a space occur between the grain layer and the inner part of the silo roof. By this space, the grain and steel sheet do not touch each other and no condensation occurs because of the difference between inner and outer temperature of the silo. And, by the ventilation outlet at the roof, natural air circulation exists. This natural air circulation is supported by aeration fans and the grain is stored for
