4. PROGRAMMING The stand-alone unit ACI6007 has a controller function; it is an intelligent part of the access control system. It contains information about which cards shall have access at which time and it logs events. The ACI6007 can be programmed: 4.1. Handheld terminal - using the handheld terminal ACP111 (only in stand-alone configuration) - connect the handheld programmer to the modular jacket CON3. It is not necessary to switch off the unit before connecting the programmer. For operation of the programmer, please refer to the relevant instruction booklet. 4.2. PC - from a PC (requires the optional ACP500W software package) 4.3. Keypad programming - by entering programming codes on the keypad and/or swiping cards through the slot. Keypad programming can be used to program an ACI6007 standalone reader. For programming using the keypad, the DIP-switches 1-6 on the ACI6007, must be set to address 62 (1 OFF, 2-6 ON). General s To end the current command s To separate arguments s To cancel the current command LED indications s Green LED flashing rapidly s Green LED ON for 2 sec and buzzer beeps s Red LED ON for 2 sec

Swipe and program cards s To program cards by simply swiping them: 1. Enter a start swipe position 1*100# 2. Swipe the card. The card is inserted at position 100 and is valid in this reader. The swipe will fail if the card is already in the controller at another position. A position number will still be assigned if the card is already in the controller, but at an unknown position. 3. The swipe position of the next card you swipe is incremented by one (in this example, position 101). Refer to the programming table. You can swipe a maximum of 10 cards before you need to set a start position again. You can use swipe positions from 1 to 10000. NOTE: You can not add more cards into the controller than specified for the type of controller used. NOTE: It is not possible to use the positioning in a system programmed from PC software or a handheld programmer. You cannot use the antipassback features at the same time as the swipe and program function. This should not present any problem, as these features are used in different system configurations. To swipe and program cards at an unknown position: 1. Enter a start swipe position of 0 (unknown position). 1*0# 2. Swipe the cards. The cards will be valid in this reader. No position will be assigned. If a position has already been allocated, it will not be changed.
