# POWER SPLITTERS / COMBINERS

(1) The power splitters shown will below enable the use of either two or four antennas. (2) The antennas and feed lines all use the same impedance of 50 ohms. (3) The MS Excel software will do all the necessary calculations for you . 50 ohms connectors

TO BUILD YOUR OWN Enter frequence in Mhz to be used in this box. Enter size of outer conductor's inside diameter ( D ) in this box Enter the ratio configuration for your 50 ohm antenna system in this box. ( Use 3.55or a 2 way power splitter ) ( Use 2.5 for a 4 way power splitter ) ( L length ) in inches for the inner conductor. The inner conductor OD size needed to make the impedance match. Power splitter calculation impedance in ohms. Half wave in free space ( length in inches ) Half wave for 1/4 to 1/2 OD ( length in inches ) Half wave having 66% Velocity factor ( length in inches ) Half wave having 80 % Velocity factor ( length in inches )

Input your measurements for ID and OD .. for finding your impedance between D & d Formula used in this program. Ohms Ratio D/d Impedance in ohms =LOG(128)*10*D/d 25 = 1.2 0.58 Enter (D) diameter in inches ohms = 37 = 1.76 0.16 Enter (d) diameter in inches 74.79 75 = 3.55

## Ohms Ratio D/d 50 = 2.38 52 = 2.5 100 = 4.75
