Monitoring devices :

For each FU type. there is one Iunctional installation Ior optimum operation.
The zone intended Ior switchgear is deIined vertically in 25 mm high modules

For each FU. a vertical size in 25 mm modules is given in the catalogue.

Anti-intrusion grids enable cool air to enter the column by natural convection in order
to keep it at a normal operating temperature.

General information on 115-cubicles :
NW08-40. NT16. NS1600 are installed as incomers ou outgoers.
At most 3 units can be installed in H2350 mm and 2 units in H2200 mm
Possible common conIigurations in 1 cubicle:
- 1 incomer
- 1 incomer 1 or 2 Ieeders
- 1 source changeover switch (cable interlocking possible)
- 2 incomers 1 substitute source (cable interlocking possible)
- 3 incomers with only 1 closed device (cable interlocking possible)

The position oI the units in the cubicle can be :
- T (top oI the cubicle)
- M (middle oI the cubicle)
- B (bottom oI the cubicle). only in H2350

The connections to the switchgears can be made by cables or busbar trunking.
By cables. they are made Irom top or bottom : TDC. BDC. SC. RC.
By busbar trunking. they are made only Irom top : TDC. RC.

All associations possible within the limits of the following rules (H2350/2200) :
TDC/BDC : can be associated or combined with SC and RC
BDC : area under the Masterpact reserved Ior connection
BDC : possibility oI top incomer with W650 side compartment
SC : impossible to connect 2 devices to each other into the same compartment
Exception : possible iI cables outgoing to the top Ior T-SC and to the bottom Ior M-SC and no F4.
Other solution : 1 SC in a leIt compartment (reversible connection)
SC : possible in a leIt-hand compartment. in M position only
RC : in D400 compartment. no more than 2 devices can leave Irom the same side (T or B)
RC : BBT possible Ior 3 devices (2 RC and 1 TDC). 1 BBT maximum per rear compartment
RC : NW32 is preIerable in M position (thermal)
RC : NW40 : 1 device per column in M with a D600 compartment (except coupling)

H 2350 : 3 interlocked devices 1 RC column. 2 SC columns
H 2200 : 3 interlocked devices 2 RC and SC columns
Within the limits oI the indications given in the Schneider NW. NT16. NS1600 device catalog.

General information on 70-cubicles
The NT16/NS1600 devices are installed as Ieeders or incomers.
They can be used as source changeover or parallel incomers. within the limits oI the V-BB perIormances (In. Icw.
...).
NB : Ior 2 incomers coupling. there are standardized solutions in 115-cubicles.

Up to 4 NT16/NS1600 can be installed in RC in H2350 cubicle. within the limit oI the maximum intensity oI the
70 V-BB.
Device position in the cubicle is Iree. but with a pitch oI 6 modules. complying with the installation room (18. 30
or 36M).
E.g. : a RC device can be installed at the top oI the device zone. or with a pitch oI 6.12.18.24 (etc...) modules Irom
the top.

The connections to the devices are made by cables.
They can be TDC. BDC. SC and RC. and are combinable in the same cubicle.

the 115/70/185 outgoing cubicles and the 230 column have a constant depth (D1000
or D1400)
the Iront rear H-BB are installed throughout the cubicle's whole length :
- at the top oI D600 cubicles and compartments Ior the Iront H
- at the top oI rear D400 compartments Ior the rear H-BB.
in a D1000 conIiguration (NW40b-63 BDC). the devices installed in the 115/70/185
cubicles can only be Iront-connected
- TDC. BDC
- SC in a D600 compartment installed on the Iront
in a D1400 conIiguration (NW40b-63 RC). the devices installed in the 115/70
cubicles can be connected by any way.
However. the optimal solution is RC.
In a 185-cubicle : SC only
on the top oI each 115/70/185 switchgear cubicle. a Iront H
installed
This link might have an impact on the connection mode Ior NW40 or NT/NS1600
devices. as well as on the installation capacity oI 70 switchgear cubicles (reIer to the
Iollowing tables).
