Primary Six students can gain direct school admission to Nanyang Girls High School (NYGH) before the

release of the PSLE results. To be considered for direct admission, candidates need to: o have good personal and leadership qualities, show positive attitude towards challenges and teamwork and have strong academic foundation, achieve consistently good school results in primary 5 and 6 and/or be exceptionally talented in music or sports or performing arts or have done exceptionally well in the 2011 Singapore-Malaysia Schools Bilingual Olympiad (SMBO) and the Asia Pacific Mathematical Olympiad for Primary Schools (APMOPS).

Application & Submission of Records 1. e-Application: 9 May to 6 July 2011 For those with no internet access, computer terminals will be set up at NYGH General Office for applicants to apply online. The following supporting documents are required to be uploaded with e-application: a) b) c) Copy of personal Identity Copy of a recent passport-size photograph Copies of Primary 5 mid-year & year-end and Primary 6 mid-year school results (if Primary 6 mid-year results are not ready at the point of application, please upload the results as soon as it is available, before application closes) Copies of other achievements, in accordance to your application option Copy of testimonial from primary school

3 An administration fee of S$30.00 and General Ability Test (GAT) fee S$50.00 (inclusive of GST) are payable upon submission of e-application. Cheque payment should be made payable to Nanyang Girls High School with the applicants name, identification number and telephone number clearly indicated on the back of the cheque. The fees are non-refundable. Cheque payment should be sent (within 5 working days from the date of e-submission) to: Admin Department (DSA Application) Nanyang Girls High School 2, Linden Drive Singapore 288683 Late and incomplete applications will not be processed.

Trials and auditions for ALL CCA applicants: 20 May to 15 July 2011 Shortlisted applicants for Higher Music Programme (HMP) will be invited to attend an audition. Interview for shortlisted applicants : 11 July to 5 August 2011

Academic/ Leadership (GEP) 1. Interview (if necessary): 11 July 5 August 2011

Notification of Outcome All applicants will receive the notification of the DSA outcome by 31 August 2011. The school reserves the right not to disclose the detailed result of the DSA selection test.
