Order of events ---------------Disc boots, loads himem.sys and emm386.sys -Ramdrive created, so that if the filesystem is NTFS we still have somewhere to put files -PKUnzip then unzips the contents of CLIENT32.ZIP to the C: drive, either Ramdis c or the HD -A couple of support files are also copied into C: These are left outside the zip file for easy editing -Initial part of C32 drivers are loaded -Then try and load each driver in turn. If they fail they don't load. Hopefully one does load!! -"Stackey" is used to get rid of the "load an additional frame type message W18 means wait a short time (1s) and CR inserts a carriage return into the keyb oard buffer W based delays are in clock ticks, there are about 18 per second -Finish off C32, bind protocols etc -Client32 will go off and "get nearest server" -Present user with a menu of servers using response.com to get the keypress -Run login.exe from the server and pass in the contents of a text file containin g the password -After that the login script takes over and does whatever is desired eg run up a nother menu To add a new driver -------------------

Copy driver in the Client32.zip archive Add a section in NIC Drivers in autoexec.bat To add a new server ------------------Change the choice line in autoexec.bat Add an [x] section to autoexec.bat Site specifics -------------net.cfg You should only need to change settings in the SVRLOC section ie the scope you use and the address of a directory agent You might want to set the Preferred Server line but this should not be necessary normally If you don't have a DHCP server you will need to ammend the "Protocol TCPIP" sec tion: Uncomment out the "STATIC" and comment out "DHCP". Ammend the IP Address, gatewa y (Router) and Netmask sections Finally, if you use BOOTP, then comment out DHCP and uncomment DHCP resolv.cfg -Put in a DOMAIN line for each domain that you have internally -Put in a NAMESERVER line for each of the potential DNS servers you might use Set the usernames you use in autoexec.bat for each server and ammend PASSWORD.TX T accordingly.
