The position, in part, is responsible for patrol of the city, protecting the lives and property of the citizens, maintaining law and order, investigation of complaints, monitoring traffic conditions, handling calls for service, taking written complaints, and making reports. In order to be eligible to take the test each applicant must meet the following criteria. Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be OPOTA Peace Officer certified. Must have a valid drivers license. Must be at least 21 years of age at the appointment. Must pass physical exam and physical agility. Applicants must be filled out in person at the Harrison Community Center, 300 George Street, Harrison, Ohio 45030 starting Wednesday, June 1st, 2011 through Friday, June 24th, 2011 between the hours of 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Proof of military service (Honorable Discharge) and a copy of your OPOTA Certification MUST be submitted with your application. When Dearborn County Solid Waste District wanted to increase public awareness of its Household Hazardous Waste Collection Program, Register Publications provided the ad that signicantly increased the volume of hazardous waste being collected.
