Community nowadays concerns on the status of halal products and has become a priority to the consumers.

Not only consistent with Islamic laws but also as a sign that the product is safe to eat and consume by the adherents of other religions. Besides, the production of halal industrial products within and outside of the country relies on increments in world population, diversity of consumers demand and productions technology. Hence, "Centre of Excellence for Halal Products", Universiti of Technologi MARA, Shah Alam that was established in 2001 is responses to consumer needs and demands in order to know the halal status of each product that is illegal in the market. Thus, it can be achieved by holding activities such as consulting, organizing lectures, seminars and researches.

1. To provide consultancy on halal products to government departments and food operators. 2. To provide information about halal products to the public. 3. To conduct research on the halalharam products.
